We stayed at the hotel Pyhä Ski-in during the days of only-take-away-available due to COVID-19. On the night we arrived, we ordered dinner from Colorado, which is located at the hotel. The burger was cold, and vege”beef” too raw. The breakfast offering followed the same...kind of “who cares” style. Luckily the oat porridge was ok, and I had mainly it. Though, some local berries would have been nice add, when in Lapland.More

We stayed at the hotel and as Pyha does not offer many choices for dining out, we ended up at Colorado several (that is too many) times. First of all the concept of having a texmex restaurant in Lapland is strange altogether and second of...all having a lousy texmex restaurant in Lapland is just ridiculous. It is incomprehensible to me that there is no restaurant at Pyha serving basic Scandinavian/Finnish/Lappish fare. Having the obligatory, overpriced, reindeer stew on menu does not really help. As the hotel itself, the interior is mildly said tired. The food is a different issue, even worse. We went through most of the menu during the week trying to find something even remotely edible. The only thing surviving was the steak. True, the portions are large, so if you are only out for calories, this might be a place for you. The second star for that.More

After trying numerous vegetarian burgers to reach the level of those made from meat, I finally found it at Colorado restaurant at Pyhätunturi. Their Beyond meat burger have just the right balance of fat, salt, umami and acid. Try it — it’s not that far...away and while your’re there, you can ski too.More

We ate here of an evening whilst on holiday in phya skiing, we are unsure why they would put an American themed restaurant in a ski resort in Finland... most folk want traditional local authentic food... The menu was limited, very limited, expensive and the...food was not particularly great, sometimes served cold. Staff were mediocre, portions were excessive and almost everything was served with fries. If you are going on holiday here don’t go half board as the menu which is the same every night has 1 salad starter, 5 main meals one of which is soup and 1 dessert which is 1 scoop of ice cream. Save your money and use the other restaurants in the area which were traditional and far better.More

Our family was positively surpriced about the quality of Colorado restaurant in Pyhä. Our previous experience in Ruka was not positive, so we were a little bit hesitant to visit Colorado in Pyhä. Luckily, all our three (3) visits to Pyhä Colorado were very positive...and the lunches were very tasty and even beautifully served.More

I’ve been here on several occasions and the food is amazing. It’s quite expensive but a single meal would easily feed 2. I had the veg burrito which was in fact 3 meals on one plate, nachos and salsa, huge green salad with avacado, tomato...and cucumber plus the enormous burrito itself. My son had a brisket burger which he said was the best he’d ever had and was fit to explode when he’d finished it. Nice atmosphere with incredible views of the slopes and the valley across the forest, stunning. Plenty of booths, large tables or cosy sofas to sit at.More

The resturant is beautifuly decorated beautiful scenic route. We were on package deal all inclusive with cantebury travel. The food was eddible food rice both for lunch and chips or chicken nuggets dry as was buaffe style. When asked for see another menu then all...inclusive deal i want try proper meal from island. I was greeted with a waistress that doesnt smile and not too interested in helping anyone out . I asked another nite see wine menu and she paused and didnt know if was a wine menu. When greeted back i was told 48.00 euros for a bottle wine . When you walk in the door there is a poster for 19.00 for bottle of wine. These were worst meals i had received and really made trip experience rough. You really need work on catering for big crowds no food left others keep eye what is fresh and cold. You need learn manners off staff to be curtious . The trip and company made but i would be disgusted if chose too stay in your hotel and too go skiing too the resort. Money not issue if food was rite. The breakfast expected be continental but please keep it fresh when have big ground be able too cater for massive money be made in hotel and scenic few worth admission pity food staff let it down.More

This quite new restaurant concept in the hotel premises gives you an idea of western food, where quantity definitely is important. One thing which was evidently bothering me, was the incredible rush, the staff had. There was a private group of 20 people at the...same time, and they seemed to be very demanding, so the staff was in quite a problem with them to arrange everything. However despite of everything I think they managed to keep it almost controlled most of the time. I wanted to test the ribs as we were there, and - oh my god - it was a portion! There were 2 big slabs with minimum 1 kg of ribs, a large portion of chips and surely something else as well - but if you are hungry - go there! As after the meal, you are not anymore. At the day time you have nice views from the restaurant, but naturally in the evening you only enjoy the ranch-style decoration. This works better than the old restaurant.More

Ate at the Colorado Bar twice on our recent trip to Pyha. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and the food is of high quality. Would highly recommend.
