Loved the setting and the traditional costumes all the waitresses were wearing. Best of all though was the traditional food - and the portions really are substantial. Jenny ordered stuffed cabbage rolls with fried potatoes and I had potato cutlets (light and fluffy with a...crisp coating) with a cream and dill sauce - but we’d not reckoned with the creamy beetroot salad and the coleslaw and the 6 slices of black bread with it that came unasked. We did our best but the fried potatoes defeated Jenny…. So tasty though - easy to see how it was the nourishing simple fare that farmers would have needed and could have afforded. Highly recommended - and it’s popular so don’t be surprised if you have to wait a little while for your food, though we were fortunate.More
