Popped in for lunch, and was not disappointed. Decided to take a drive after reading the reviews. The view is breath taking, even in the rain. Service was great. Best pina colada ever.. we tried a few of the starters, potato wedges are the best, prawns were amazing, fish cakes were fab.. aubergine was just wow.. would definitely recommend this... More

We ate there three times during our week stay at Castara Retreats and the food was very good on each occasion. I particularly enjoyed the fresh fish, the caribbean meatballs and Keisha's delicious chocolate mousse. All the cocktails we tried were great, especially the Banana Daiquiri. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The view is spectacular and it... More

This was an incredible experience. Our waitress was very nice, the food is reasonably priced for this kind of view. Go there before sunset. You will love what you see.

The kitchen is about 100 feet above sea level, but the scenery at day and night time is amazing.the crystal clear waters and clear blue skies is a sight to behold. the food is prepared on site and is very tasty.the portions is ample enough for a hungry adult. the drive to this restaurant is worth it.

Keisha and Kareem provided an excellent service in the Restaurant! The food was very tasty, reasonably priced and served with a smile! I love cooking, and I enjoyed preparing my own meals in the Lodges I stayed in (Tamarind & Firefly) most of the time consisting of the fresh fish I’d bought from the fishermen who gathered at the beach.... Tasty dishes and friendly service (Keisha, Shneice and Kareem) were the norm at the Caribbean Kitchen restaurant at Castara Retreats. I absolutely loved the chocolate mousse made from Tobago Plantation chocolate - you taste the cocoa yet it's not bitter. The fish disges; made from fish caught in Tobago, and the prawns in a coconut cream sauce were also yummy.... More

Lovely, friendly service and very good food. We didn't wait too long, the views are superb and being so high up from the beach, the breeze cooled us fine. It might not be the best food in the world, but it was good, in a great location, great service and a great experience.

We arrived late for dinner having had an unexpected detour via the hospital the other side of the island for our son to have some stitches in his head and this was just the perfect way to relax, unwind and end our holiday. The drinks arrived promptly and were thoroughly enjoyed whilst watching the hummingbirds at the feeding stations. As... More

I admit, the rum punch was to die for, very special. But once our drinks had been served and food orders taken, we were never spoken to again. The English owner of the place came and waxed lyrical about his desserts at some point, but no one EVER asked us whether we'd like a drink (after the aperitifs were quickly... More

We are surprised that this review compares the cost of food they received to what is available elsewhere locally as there is no comparison in style or setting. We have discussed their feedback on poor service, and our small local team have taken this on board and apologise. As other reviews indicate our service is normally very friendly. At the... More
