Our family visited here late on Easter Sunday lunch. In truth we didn't expect to get a table so we were happily surprised when we were seated by a very friendly waitress in less than 5 minutes. We had visited Vaughans on a number of occasions some years ago and stopped going there as the service was so bad and... More

We visited here for afternoon snack whilst travelling in West Clare. We stopped and ordered four glasses of wine and BLT sandwiches. We had to pay for everything in advance of service. It was a beautiful day and the venue was very inviting with outdoor seating in lovely Spring sunshine. The wine was fine, when the sandwiches arrived, I smelt... More

We went into the restaurant for late lunch on Easter Sunday and they were extremely busy, however they took care of us, provided great service and good food. The fish and chips was excellent, the mussels a bit small. The crème brulee was out of this world! they were very efficient and could not ask for more.

Heard great things but was very disappointed. The chowder was like fish stock, pure water. Also ordered crab claws which were overpriced and tiny. certainly not worth the visit and wont be coming back., Staff were very friendly but unfortunately it stops at that.

The monk fish was very good, as was the fish and chips! Good breakfast too! Nice atmosphere, roaring fire!

Came here with the entire family. It was summer, so the pub was super busy, but we were accommodated at a table pretty quickly nevertheless. Service was good, food fresh and delicious.

Heard loads of great things about here so we decided to try it out today. I ordered scampi and chips, nearly 18euro, I didn't mind as it was a treat. Chips were nice but was very disappointed with the scampi. I noticed in the 1st one that the vein was left in it, immediately turned me off.. then I found... More

We planned our first night away without the kids and we picked Vaughans for our 1 night getaway as we had stayed there a couple of times before. We had dinner there on the night in the restaurant and it was lovely. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast the following morning was also very good. However... More
