We had planned to visit the Richmond Inn for food but Covid had other plans for us so we ordered takeaway instead. Food was delicious, piping hot and very generous portions. We had the roast beef, chicken enchiladas and chilli beef loaded potato skins. All were lovely. Would highly recommend The Richmond Inn for food.

A fantastic family run traditional Irish pub. A great welcome and good value. Food is good value pub food from a full and varying menu, you will not leave hungry

We eat here regularly as the food and service are both amazing. Just had another fabulous Sunday dinner at the Richmond Inn. The food was delicious as always. All the staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. There is such a variety on the menu, something for everyone and you definitely won't leave hungry. Thanks Niamh and team.

Had phoned ahead to check they were open and was advised kitchen closed at 2045, not necessary to make a booking. Travelled the 10km from Bally league, arriving around 2030. Looked a well maintained premises and the bar section was full with locals judging by the looks we got.
Ordered a round of drinks for the four of us and asked for menus. Friendly service from barmaid who said she would come over to take our order which she did. Good menu choice for a local pub/restaurant. 5 mins later she returned to advise the chef had gone home early. She was very apologetic.
What could we do? We decided to go home and cook the fry we had planned for Sunday brunch.
I asked for a bottle of wine, a cider and some ice to take home. When this new bar maid charged me it was clear she had charged me full on-licence price. I tried to argue we were taking it off-licence it should be a lower price but she was having none of it.
I can fully understand the chef going early if business was quiet but feel let down the way we were treated after.
Safer making a formal reservation if dining late here.

Myself and Pj visited this restaurant (first day open after Covit19) so professionally run. Niamh with her staff were all there to ensure all protocols were adhered to. An amazing atmosphere along with a very friendly staff made our delicious lunch more enjoyable. Thank you everyone for all your hard work doing a great job in difficult times. Ann and Pj

10 of us had a fabulous meal here tonight. Lots of choice on the menu and every dish we ordered was beautiful. Staff were so friendly and there was a lovely warm atmosphere. We were very well looked after. I'd highly recommend it. Great spot with amazing views of the harbour.

Visited the Richmond Inn and was more than pleasantly surprised! At the end of a week long Shannon cruise it was the first place that adhered to all the recommended Covid protocols. We couldn't have had a friendlier, warmer welcome by all the staff, both in the restaurant and in the bar. The food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely be back!!! The highlight of our trip !!

The food in the lounge was sublime and the staff were lovely. We had the Barbecued Ribs and I’ve never had any as good, anywhere.
The bill was a very pleasant surprise, and there was no pressure to free up the table, after we finished. We’ll definitely be back.
The only fault I could find with the whole experience is they take last orders at 18.30. That doesn’t leave enough time to get home from a typical job, change and get to the venue for an evening meal.
But it’s worth the effort.
I simply can’t recommend it highly enough.
Huge thanks to everyone at The Richmond Inn, for a wonderful meal.
We’ll definitely be back.

Had the most amazing meal here Saturday. Beautiful menu with fabulous food. The service was outstanding and Niamh and team really knows how to look after their guests. Definitely worth a visit. We will be back...

After a recent visit, I was appalled to see the crowd of people drinking in the bar and having no food, also a line of people sitting at the bar. To my amazement there was also a very large crowd of people outside as well as inside drinking and no one eating food.
It was astonishing to see people put at risk during this strange time with numbers rising due to Covid 19.
