We've been to this restuarant twice recently, on wildly different days. This evening we sat on deck enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine whereas last week we sheltered in the cozy restaurant from a torrential rainstorm. On both occasions the food was spectacular.
As a vegetarian I was delighted to find options that not only were different on each visit, but on both occasions were also a step away from the normal boring vegetarian fare I have become accustomed to. An Aubergine Parmagiana one evening and a vegetarian tagine another. Both were delicious.
My partner, a seafood lover, was equally delighted with his meals, local Oysters to start and a fish and chips one night and the trio of fish croquettes the next. Both received high praise.
The setting of the restaurant is gorgeous, and it make for a very comfortable, relaxed evening. The fact that the food is so delicious adds to the enjoyment.
We spend a lot of time in the area and as such will 100% be visiting again, and cannot wait to see what is on the menu next time!

This place is a new hidden gem. Second time here and it’s absolutely fabulous. From start to finish, the ambiance’ the staff the little touches before you even look at the menu 👌 Candles lit with flowers on every table and fresh water left on each table as you are given the menu. In our view “it’s the attention to detail “ and “the little things” that make all the difference. As for the food it’s delicious. Nothing is a problem if you have dietary problems. It closes at he end of August but THE HUT which is their side kick will be open in September. If you miss it - I’m very sorry for you. Well done Katie Kevin Sorcha Daire Caoimhe Ciara and everyone else who’s involved in this fabulous Restaurant on Valentia Island. Drive off the ferry - turn right - and there is the fabulous WATCH HOUSE!! Arnold I’ll be back 👏👏👌👍💕

I never write reviews I think this is only my second time, but it was such a lovely experience I wanted too. We’ve eaten here twice in the last few weeks and got a take away once, we ate inside and out, once just ourselves and once with some very old friends. Every time it was all perfect the menu was different each time with interesting things to choose from and a plesent change from the normal fish restaurants. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. I was introduced to Valintia Vermouth while I waited for my takeout too 😋😋. We will definitely be back and have already recommend it to friends, family and anyone who would listen.

This was a great spot to enjoy the beauty of the island location whilst enjoying a good quality coffee and a light and flavoursome cake. The perspex screens around the roof terrace meant that we could enjoy being in the open though were protected from coastal the winds,

A tea and bun or soup and sandwich kind of place. From a culinary perspective you couldn't really get excited but it was pleasant.

All I can say is wow. The sandwiches and pastries are fantastic.
