I am writing this review from my experience in the Claremorris branch of Mchughs cafe. I have been in a number of times and never had a bad experience food is always top quality and the service matches this. Keep it up will be back...for more.More
This cafe always have a great choice of sandwiches for take away and prices are great! Friendly staff.
Located in Glebe St in Ballinrobe, this cafe serves good quality food at remarkably competitive prices. The tables and chairs are similar to the kind of furniture that might be seen in a kitchen in rural Ireland, with plain but sturdy oak grained and/or pine...tables and chairs. The café is excellent for a quick bit, including a range of salads, sandwiches, soups, scones, baked potatoes plus very good freshly ground Coffee and loose leaved Tea. Recommended.More
Stopped into the claremorris cafe for just a coffee and regretting going somewhere else beforehand now. The flat white coffee is delicious, and I will admit that I'm a coffee snob. The pancakes they serve look and smell delicious. Staff are very friendly and welcoming...as soon as you walk through the door. Will definitely pop in here for food next time I'm in claremorris.More
Driving through and we stopped here for lunch and so glad we did, great stop for lunch, staff were very friendly, cosy atmosphere and food was lovely and fresh!
Very good for a quick bite to eat, staff not the friendliest but other than that very good.Hot chocolate and beverages excellent.
What a little gem for breakfast and lunch type menu. Value 100%. Where would you get drinks and food from €5 upwards. Not only value but a menu that mixes foods that taste great together. Buzzing with character, family business that has a great reputation....Simple idea done really well sit in or eat out. This is a favourite for my family .More
I recently had the pleasure of trying the feta salad in the cafe, and oh my, it it seriously the most delicious salad I have ever had! It is mouthwatering. Filled with crisp salad leaves, seeds, dried fruits like cranberries, gorgeous plump sun-dried tomatoes and...a toasted slab of feta flavoured with a delicious honey balsamic dressing. The portion is also substantial and feels like a decent meal. I can't recommend this salad enough. Truly wonderful. My partner is a big fan of the sandwiches, especially the manwich and the twerky, and my 2 Yr old loves the ham and cheese toastie with the little bucket of crisps. The tea is loose leaf and wonderful and the coffee has depth without being bitter. The staff are always welcoming and Rory remembers names and regular orders with ease. It is always a pleasant and satisfying dining experience. I find it hard to believe that anyone in Ballinrobe is unaware of the delights available at Mchughs but for people passing through, this is THE place to try. You will not regret it, and it may keep you coming back to Ballinrobe just to have another amazing feta salad!!More
My family really love coming to Mchughs. It has become our weekly stop in when we do the shopping. Rory is the heart of the place and remembers the orders of regulars with ease. This morning our pot of tea and cup of coffee arrived...to the table as we sat down! My 18month old loves Mchughs and it is very much family friendly with several menu options tailored to children. The food is always delicious and the specials are tempting and satisfying. I really can't say enough about what a lovely place this is. We have been coming here since we moved to the area and it will continue to be a firm favourite for my family. Really recommend calling in, the tea alone is enough to make you a regular!!More
