Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stopped in Dromod for just one night, and were attracted to the Brandwell by the many hanging baskets full of colourful flowers. A room was available and on inspection we were pleasantly surprised, it was a large double room, clean, well furnished, with TV,...tea making facilities, plenty of towels and complimentary soaps and shampoos. The bed we later found to be very comfortable. Breakfast was a feast, with enough choice and quantity that happily carried us through the day. It is nice to be able to compliment the staff, who never failed to be friendly, courteous and helpful. A place we will definitely return to.More

Arrived into the Brandywell without booking a table, there was 6 of us, Mary and Jo quickly set a lovely table for us and took our order. The food was excellent and great sized portions! The staff are extremely friendly and Gerry was very welcoming...and couldn't do enough for us. The whole place is spotless and we will definitely return but we will book in for a few nights!More

Went for breakfast today at the Brandywell and was appalled at the attitude of the oldest waitress. Both the young man and young girl who served our table were both polite and courteous The older lady was abrupt rude and the most unwelcoming member of...staff we have ever encountered it beggars believe that someone would employ her in a customer service role.More

Visited here 2 times over the last week . First time upon arrival tables had reserved signs on them but very nice Barman invited us to sit as they weren’t being used yet , stayed for a drink and ended up ordering food also which...was lovely . Second visit 3 days later we were met very abruptly by lady who turned out to be manager asking did we book - we just wanted to have a drink and there was a table with no reserved on it in the bar . We were ushered to the restaurant then only to be seated less than 2 minutes to be questioned by another member of staff “ Who said you could sit here?” Witnessed staff being spoken abruptly to and in front of customers by manager - very unprofessional . Made feel very unwelcome ,for a family who would have waited or even come back had we been greeted politely. Very disappointing and would not return .More

just back from the best weekend at the Brandywell. 10 of us came from Scotland to visit our family and stayed at the Brandywell. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed by all the staff and had a ball. We had 5 rooms and...they were all exceptional, immaculately clean, comfy beds, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The staff are just the best, so friendly and could not do enough for us. Gerry and Jo made sure our stay was perfect. Mary and the whole team made us feel right at home. The food was all delicious. The bar and restaurant area is really lovely and every member of staff were so friendly and helpful to each and everyone of us. We had a lovely surprise visit from The Easter Bunny and had a lovely fun day, it was delightful to see all the children’s faces when they seen the Easter Bunny arrive and have fun with them. This is our 3rd time staying at the Brandywell and have recommended it to family and friends. We will be back for sure in the near future. Thank you for a memorable time, we always smile when we think of you all, stay brilliant 🤩More
