Great dinner tonight at kangaroo, bbq seafood of tiger prawns, squid and fish was fresh and delicious. Service was speedy and personal checking with everyone at the table if it was to their taste and had everything required. Can’t fault it!

Agree with positive reviews: might not look amazing but if you are looking for fresh grilled fish this is a great restaurant with friendly staff!
Big plates at very reasonable prices
We had the combos grilled king prawns - shark and grilled squid - shark, both served with fries and salad ( choose with rice or baked potatoes)
Just plain as I like it, but you can add Thai sauces. Went there after recommendation from our french hotel owners and we are going back tonight.

Visited while staying in Lamai, read reviews and agree that this restaurant serves good value, good quality food.!
Very popular steady stream of people, our meal Was well presented and very Tasty
Cheap restaurant good food, decent staff.
There are better quality restaurants for decent local food this is worth a try.

The seafood here is delicious and the service is amazing. We had the barracuda with baked potato and received 2 portions of the fish nicely presented with salad. The house wine was also of good quality with plenty of options of bottles to purchase. The price was very good too considering the size of the portions. The staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you and they have an extensive menu to choose from. One of the best in lamai.

Giving 5 stars for the entertainment value alone. My meal arrived incorrect and undercooked and was finished a good half hour before my partners meal even came. We had to order drinks 4 times before they arrived and would’ve been annoyed if the 3 tables around us hadn’t received the wrong food if they received any at all. It was so bad if was good. Then we received 2 receipts for someone else’s table. Was comedy gold . Will go again for drinks and a laugh.

We were big fans of Sri Nuan but due to COVID closed down. So off we went to Kangaroo restaurant and what an amazing place this is.
The owner and his two waiters run this place very well. Everyone gets attention, a little chat and great sense of humor.
Fresh fish plates are gorgeous but also all Thai dishes are just excellent and very affordable.
The place was busy ven though tourism has not restarted to full capacity yet. Many people come back daily and it it worth it.
The only negative point is that smoking is allowed. But for the rest do go and enjoy the food and ambiance.
If this fancy a nice glass of wine, opposite is a wine bar well worth your visit.

Samui Kangaroo might not look like much when you walk past but the food is amaizng. Thai food and sea food were unbelievable. We went twice and both times the service and quality were top class.
Would highly recommend this place if in Lamai.

This was not what we expected. Because of the good ratings and a few recommendations we thought that this restaurant would be really good- unfortunately it was not.
The fish we tried tasted like dirt and the drinks like toothpaste. The waiters were really stressed and barely stoped by our table. Although the food was not overpriced I still wouldn’t recommend going here. Choose something else

We travel from chaweng to eat here. Always amazing food and service. We love the jumbo prawns here!! If you love fresh seafood, Thai food and great service definitely visit the Kangaroo!!!

We enjoyed some excellent food during our two week stay in Thailand but this restaurant stood out as exceptional! Our hotel concierge recommended Kangaroo and we were delighted with the food and fast friendly service. A must try menu item is the ‘hot plate’ seafood dish. Delicious!

This place is just amazing! We ate tiger prawns + red snapper and sizzling seafood pan. Food is very tasty and portions are big. Prices are really affordable. The staff are super friendly, made us feel very welcome. 110% recommend 💕

Great food so tasty 😋 I am a very picky eater and I didn't have anything left on my plate it was so yummy. I got the vegetarian penang curry. Joe our server was the best the kindest server I have met since I started bagbacking. Try the b52 shot also with the straw and flame 🔥

A really lovely restaurant with great food and fabulous staff! We arrived as a big group and they took our orders straight away with food coming not long after! The seafood was incredible and the cocktails as well! Highly recommend

This was one of the best restaurants I have been to in Thailand so far. The food and drinks were amazing. The happy hour prices are great and last all night long! Joe our server was the best. Highly recommend if you are in the area!! Definitely coming back 😊

A popular and busy restaurant with a great selection of tasty food. The menus are rather tatty and dirty which is a shame. And when it came to pay we got the same old excuse, the card machines are broken. Whilst I understand most owners prefer cash they should make this obvious. However we did enjoy a lovely meal.
