We had a great dinner at the Restaurant eating a local fish, guacamole and drinking fresh lemonade. On the terrace we had a great view over the lagoon and the sunset.

We came here on a saturday night and while we weren't expecting much, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. There was only one waitress and even though there only seemed to be 4 tables, she was totally overwhelmed. I think it took 30 minutes for her to come see us to order drinks. We eventually ordered... Food was OK. Probably I did not choose the best food the restaurant has to offer. Tortillas were very good. It was a Sunday and it was really crowded. Locals and tourists were there. The restaurant on the left was empty. I guess we just went for the safe bet. Since the restaurant was so full the waiters were overwhelmed.

I've been going to Rio Lagartos for so many years. There are a few new restaurants. I decided to try a new place and was not disappointed. The shrimps cocktail was delicious. Every thing is fresh. I can tell you that there are many bad shrimp cocktails in Mexico. Normally full of ketchup and that's it. At Perico Marinero, they... More

The ceviche was fresh, tasty and a very large portion. Service was great. They even helped us navigate to our next destination. They're located right on beach boardwalk so the views are fantastic. If you cross the street there's a nice swing right in front of the ocean.

You must try the Confetti!!!! Food for 3. Bring cash because closest atm machine is in Tizimín at 30 min drive. Ask for the Rio Lagartos tour.

The best fish I've had in at least a few years... I asked specifically for mero (grouper) which nobody else in town seemed to have and is my favorite fish to eat. Their veracruzana preparation was incredible (roasted in a tomatoes & veggie sauce). On the other hand my friend had mero al ají which was absolutely doused in garlic... More

Came here becoz the ranking as number 1 in TripAdvisor, had the fried garoupa and Mexican style octopus. All I can say is its very simple and bland taste.. The fish is of course fresh as its caught in front of the open water.. Lol.but so bland no seasoning at all..I had to put lots of salt and pepper to... More

We stayed at the hotel by the same name and decided to give their restaurant a try. The restaurant is about 3-4 blocks from the hotel. Because we were not very hungry we just shared the large shrimp cocktail and some guacamole for dinner. There must have been 40 of the local shrimp. Both the cocktail and the guacamole were... More
