When you see the building and enter the restaurant , your expectations can be high, many signs of a rewarded restaurant , reflecting tripadvisor's reviews (first restaurant in SM al Bagno) We came for a dinner with my wife But impression went slowly downwards Service...is at good level , menu sounds pretty and wine list promissing We started with shrimps in cream with truffle which was really good and tasteful Main dishes were good but not at an excptional level : arragosta was pretty good but relatively simple , grilled polpo little bit chewy served in baby portion. Came desserts which is not worthy of the name : tiramisu was the worst we had during our trip in Italy and Cheesecake came out from a nearby frozen store.... Please for customer"s sake , change your pastry chief.... For more than 55€ per person you can be demanding . Here the value for money is not worth it.More

Nice restaurant, food excellent but expensive with wine 10 euros. Mostly fish but they do steaks too. Great service. Had a unique experience whilst there, my partner ordered the semi freddo, much to our surprise it had candied shrimps on the top and candied shrimps...in the middle. All adds to the fun. Would highly recommend.More

We made the effort the dress up for a lovely setting overlooking the towns bay. We started with a slightly pricey selection of seafood bruschetta/croistini to share which was delicious, including the sea urchin which was a 1st for me, highly recommended. Although I did...feel a little underwhelmed for the €16 price tag. The wine however is exceptional value. We shared a bottle of a local Chardonnay derived wine which was superb and for the same price as the starter! In fact you'll struggle to find a wine on the list over about €25, so this part of the menu is fabulous value! For mains we had lobster with spaghetti, again pretty good value and very tasty, plus a taglioni with sea urchin, grated mullet roe and something else that escapes my memory. Again this was a relatively small portion so here the price was again in a little disparity for nigh on €20. Overall I'd say the quality of the food is excellent, staff are very attentive although the price would suggest faultless staff, topping up drinks, etc., which we didn't see. However this didn't detract from a great evening, I just felt the price overall was perhaps €10-15 more than I would have guessed if we we're eating blind. Would definitely return again.More

Very nice setting looking out over the harbour and attentive staff. If you are a fish lover then you will enjoy the menu with only one non-fish dish. No non-fish starters. Large wine selection. Service quick and friendly. Food nice quality and tasty. Overall a...nice meal, but the price soon toted up to over 100 euros for one course, two sides and a bottle of wine. Not sure if this was totally value for money, nice treat and can understand that this may be regarding one the best in the area.More

We had a wonderful dinner with excellent food in a perfect atmosphere. The seafood is adorable, the waiters more than perfect . Try to sit on the terrace with a wonderful view to the see. I come definitely back in September. Rainer

We ate here and found the food and service excellent. The seafood risotto, monk fish tagliatelle and tuna steak were divine. A great people watching spot outside a beautiful villa. The best food we had during our stay .

Took my girlfriend here as our last night meal on our holiday and unfortunately we had the night that was the poorest of the week. Built up to a good night reading great reviews, but the service was poor and my meal was sub standard!...The team which was around 4 servers across 8 tables, was poorly organised as they had too much emphasis on a table of 3 which left several tables unhappy and paying at the desk rather than waiting for the bill as they were unhappy with being made to feel we were unimportant. It seemed as though the manager and 2 of his severs were solely focused on a table of 3, and the rest of us were left without much care or attention. This meant when my main meal, and I want to add my girlfriend loved hers, came and I barely ate anything of it as it was bland and poor. I ate maybe a quarter at most and left the rest but due to the poor service, they didn’t notice and also didn’t ask when they finally attended our table. I had gone there with a view to spend most of the evening, but due to the poor service I didn’t bother with a dessert or buying another bottle. It was the only place I didn’t tip all week, and I tipped the hotel bar each time they served me with a bottle of water! Much better places to eat that give better service and much more enjoyable food. Will review the others to happily share good places, this is not one I’d ever recommend or visit again. Gave as high as a 3 purely on my girlfriend liking her main, would have been a lot worse on my main and service.More

Beautiful building, where beautiful food is served. If you are British remember the Italians do not serve vegetables and potatoes so you can expect a whole seabass and nothing else!!! every course was delicious and made for a very special evening indeed
