La Senyera offered us a warm reception on a cold January day. This family run restaurant is situated on one of the two main streets that run through Villefrance. The day we visited it was full of families enjoying Sunday lunch and with an open wood fire there was a welcoming atmosphere. We had there €29 set menu, the highlight... More

This restaurant will not disappoint you. The food is fantastic and the service is great. Our servers really wanted us to feel at home, and enjoy our time there. They were friendly and helpful. When you go there, don't expect fast-food delivery. Please, relax and enjoy your meal, as the food is made with great care and is delicious. I... More

We came here on the little yelliw train, which was a fab experience in itself. Villefranche is very touristy, but well worth a look. This restaurant was all that we could have wanted for a relaxed lunch at the end of our journey and before the beginning of our trip home. We had lively carpaccio of tuna to start and... More

Very nice restaurant, reasonably priced food, had a delicious fish dish with a tasty sauce and 3 garnitures at 14€, a "cafee gourmand" at 8€, which is a cup of coffee with three desserts; chocolate/caramel mousse, merengue with whipped cream and berries AND a creme catalan. AND a cookie :-) Waiter gave us a nice salad for free "while you´re... More

Went in and received a warm welcome. Chose from the €23menu that gave a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts. All the food was based on regional recipes but with a twist. As it was the 1st of May, all the ladies received a Lilly of the Valley flower as is the tradition dating back to 1590.

We had lunch with my partner & the food & service was really good. Good choices on the menu, cooked to our request. Recommended place for a descent lunch for around GBP 25.

The shopekeeper answered "La Senyera, bien sur," when asked for the best restaurant in Villefranche for lunch. We went by to make a reservation and a half hour later were greeted with a smile and a table. The waitress accommodated my wish to sample the very acceptable house wine before ordering the prix fixe menu. Local dishes were ample, prepared... More

We had a terrific dinner here. We enjoyed it so much that we went back for lunch. French Catalan cuisine with a nice selection of local wines.

Friendly welcome, food good but rather small portions for amount charged. For the menu at 29 euros we started with a few anchovies on a thin piece of pastry with a small, but tasty salad, followed by 3 very tiny pieces of cod (a few centimetres across), with a lovely sauce and a few vegetables, 2 thin slices of local...
