We went as a group of four and the place has amazing Bali vibes, great decor. About food, when I say is one of the best places with sushi I’ve tried I’m being humble because the sushi is marvellous, the best fish and the finest cut. Very attentive staff members and the prices are just about right for the quality for the service they provide, also you have a small pool which you can enjoy sitting around with a drink, and a giant pool upstairs for an extra cost where you can spend the day, also with bar service on the beds. It’s family friendly also so you can come with your kids as well.
If you are visiting Algarve I sincerely recommend you to visit this place you will not regret

We ate one evening at Well by the pool. The scenery was lovely and the food was out of this world, but the restaurant is definitely not for families or children, especially with the DJ playing extremely loud music for the whole evening. Additionally, sometimes the service was a little slow, but it was very friendly and our waiter was very keen to recommend dishes. We won’t be rushing back but it was a fantastic one-off.

WELL…. This is the most honest review.
Stunning scenery and setting for what we thought would be an enjoyable and romantic evening.
However to our dismay this was not the case.
Ordered starter and main and starter came out in reasonable time(however was average to say the least) then we proceeded to wait another 35 minutes for what we thought would be a great main course(considering the price) and it was quite frankly one of the worst meals I have ever had.
We expected a certain level of service and quality of food. However we’re deeply disappointed on both parts.
Would not advise going here unless u are wanting to pay extortionate prices for awful food.

Wow, this place was incredible and easily one of our best restaurant visits in a number of years!
My wife and I visited this area after hearing it was good for restaurants and Well certainly didn't disappoint.
On entering the venue, we knew this was our sort of place, it had a chilled-out vibe with good music playing and beautiful views overlooking the beachfront.
It was instantly clear that this venue could very easily transition between a daytime and nighttime venue. We noted that the music wasn't too quiet to be drowned out but not too loud to be distracting, it was perfect.
A special mention has to go to our waiter Miguel, he was enthusiastic, knowledgeable about the food and drinks, always had a smile and offered top class service - he's a credit to this restaurant/bar.
Miguel guided us in the direction of choosing sushi - we went for a large combo platter and boy that was amazing! The sushi was presented in a beautiful way and looked and tasted incredible.
The cocktails were also great and also presented in innovative ways, I had a Japanese inspired beer cocktail which I drank from the bowl, it tasted amazing.
The entire evening was perfect and we'll definitely be back.
Please check out this new restaurant, you won't be disappointed 👍👍

What an amazing experience I’ve had in Vale do Lobo! Everything is great in Well. The restaurant is next to the beach so we can have the best view while we’re tasting the best sushi in the world! The waiters are very polite and attentive to the customers. They have a good list of champagne, so don’t miss the chance to take a look! So.. what else can I say? It’s everything perfect! Just try and see for yourself. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had!

The waiter serving us was incredibly arrogant and was arguing with us about the food we ordered and the bill. The food was pretty bland and the portions were small. The meal was very expensive and not worth the price. It’s clear this place is not family friendly and is better suited to people who want to show off on social media and leave feeling hungry. I would advise you to avoid a restaurant that cares so little for its customers.

We visited on our final day in VDL, was hoping for a chilled day where we could enjoy the pool and sushi in the restaurant for lunch. Paid for 3 sunloungers and was told AFTER paying 75 euros that you cannot leave the venue (even to their own poolside restaurant) without handing your towels back and giving up your bed. This wouldn’t of been a problem if there was enough beds to come back to but they were still letting people inside despite all of the loungers being occupied. Great spot if you want to lie in the sun all day with no food but avoid if you need to eat or leave the venue for anything!

We had both a lunch and a breakfast at Well whilst on holiday. Our inaugural visit (lunch) was shortly after landing at Faro, we were certainly peckish BUT we didn’t want to eat too much as dinner was booked later that day. A good compromise was reached as myself and Mrs Lowe shared a chicken baguette with fries. Service was very good and the food tasty it certainly filled the hole, however like a lot of restaurants in Vale Do Lobo it’s fairly expensive. It is situated right on the beach, which is why you will pay top dollar and not only was sharing a meal good for our waistline it was good for our bank balance. We ended up returning to eat breakfast on another occasion as the planned eatery was closed. It was good but not great and our hosts said there were better options, sadly not on this occasion.

Our family of five with one of us needing Gluten free have just finished a wonderful lunch at this special location. We ate many different options on the menu from Chef sushi selection plater, Gyosas, then California Rolls, to chicken baguette, and a cheese burger. Not just any lunch, but an unforgettable lunch. The Burger was one of the best I have ever had and I lived in America for the first 28 years of my life. The cocktails are a must have from an Espresso Martini, to a Mojito, and the very best frozen Pina colada. Then to top it all off a bottle of Rosa wine. Everyone who served our table were very well trained and cared about your experience. Our main waiter was Bernaido he was on top of everything, so pleasant, patient, and an all around nice person. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Gluten free options. He made the experience even better.
I know they opened last year and I wish them all the best because they deserver to make it. We have been coming to Quinta and Val do lobo for 24 years and it great to see different types of restaurants hitting the area.

The waiters were really lovely and friendly.
You could ask any of the waiters walking past for a drink and they’ll take your order.
The portion sizes were big and the baguettes are very tasty.
The only thing is it isn’t cheap!

Delicious lunchtime visit to this lovely restaurant overlooking the beach and sea. Stunning views. The new menu is mostly sushi based so we were worried we wouldn’t find anything to suit the tastes of everyone in our party. However towards the back of the hefty menu are a range of delicious wraps and baguettes. They were priced around 15e and came served with divine wedges and dip. Fresh soup was also delicious. Staff are professional but unpretentious. The whole place is classy and a welcome change from the bustle and touristy Vilamoura where we were staying. Well worth a visit,
Only thoughts would be it would be nice to see a few more fresh salads and veggie dishes on there to cater for everyone.

Welcome person and front of house person seated us by an open window inside the restaurant when the position of the table was very windy and the lovely setting sun was shining directly in my partners eyes, when asked for the window to be closed we were told that the party of 4 sat adjacent had requested that it be left open! No other option was offered, it was as though we had to put up with it because of the already seated guests requests, without any consideration to our comfort. We were told that it would be a good place to view the setting sun from, despite the wind blowing my partner’s hair all over the place and the sun blinding her!! The restaurant was far from full at this time, we were amongst the first to arrive at 7pm.I asked to be removed but was told that it would be too cold to sit outside which is what I wanted, but then told that they could supply a blanket if we did feel cold. We were moved to an outside table thanks to another member of staff and supplied with a blanket! Our meal was average but feel overpriced, with one starter, one main, 1ltr of white wine sangria and two small bottles of water coming in at 115 euros. The place was empty. When we left we saw that Monty’s across the plaza was heaving so that’s where we’ll go next time to enjoy more at half the price, judging by their menu where the accent wasn’t on sushi, regardless of the setting sun!

Yes, bring your wallet. But honestly it was the freshest and best sushi we ever had. Chef was creative with sauces and presentation. The one serving of sushi was huge and beautifully done. We indulged in the mixed fish platter of bass, tuna, scallops and salmon with vinegar dressing presented with flowers. Delicious. Friendly waiters who joked a lot and who were eager to go over the menu with us. Oh, the Best--right on the ocean and sand with live music and Caribbean atmosphere.

Not quite sure how this place has been rated so highly - perhaps because so few tourists have had the opportunity to visit due to Covid-19? Ok for drinks, not for food (purely due to the service). Service was promising to begin with but deteriorated rapidly. Lots of food didn’t arrive and there wasn’t a waiter in sight for a huge portion of the meal. Spent a long time signalling to staff on the other side of the pool who were too busy chatting with each other to notice that we were trying to get their attention. Table wasn’t cleared for 30+ minutes. Prices are not cheap and are absolutely not justified. So many fantastic restaurants in the area, would avoid at all costs.
