After a lovely walk with the dog from Craster to beyond Dunstanburgh castle and back, we had earned ourselves a nice lunch. And we got it at the Jolly Fisherman. We had visited before but on a very busy Mothering Sunday, and this is the first chance we had to experience it on a normal day. It was a December... More

Called here after walking along the coast from Embleton. Very nice pint of Black Sheep beer and excellent kipper pate for lunch. My wife opted for the sweet corn chowder with crab toasts, which was equally good. Views over the harbour from the restaurant, were amazing. Highly recommended.

Weve been here quite a few times and the food and people are lovely. Yes sometimes you have to wait a while for the food but they are a busy pub for good reason and you are on holiday so what's the problem, it's not a fast food restaurant. The premises that have been updated from 20 years ago are... More

This is a really great little pub, which serves good traditional type pub food, but really well done. There is a strong local atmosphere and the land lord is exceptionally friendly and helpful. There are at least three real ales (Black Sheep) on tap. The views over the sea, from the top dining area, are stunning. There is an open... More

My wife and I (plus pooch) had an early evening meal here. It's handy that it's dog-friendly in the bar area. As it was early evening we got a table next to the roaring log fire. It was an atrocious early December night outside, so this was more than welcome. The food was exceptional. Probably pricey for pub fare but... More

Fast and efficient friendly service with great atmosphere. Fabulous location in a beautiful traditional fishing village. A must visit for the local crab sandwiches.

Tonight's meals were delicious. We chose both the specials, roasted parsnip and honey soup and half lobster salad. Both were very flavoursome. The liver main was cooked to perfection and the sticky toffee pudding one of the lightest I have eaten. The waiter was attentive and polite so why not 5 stars. The evening was marred by the loud, pretentious... More

Our first visit to Craster (and to the beautiful county of Northumberland). After parking up, checking out the kipper smokehouse across the road, and a walk to and from Dunstanburgh castle, we popped into The Jolly Fisherman for a drink. Our sandwiches were in the car, but once we saw meals coming out, we decided to eat there. Our meals... More

We used to live locally and try to visit as often as possible. The seafood continues to be excellent. Crab soup was nice and "meaty" or should I say "crabby" and pasta stuffed with lobster delicate.Fish pie had lots fish in it and bouillbaise was served with sour dough. first time we'd used Open Table and was easy.
