We took an icey walk to Dunstanburgh castle and were glad to find a table in the warm pub when we got back. The fish platter was very good with a wide variety of fish and served with artisan bread. We also had a portion of delicious chips to share. Service was efficient and friendly.

We had a delicious bowl of crab soup - very tasty - the pub was very busy and we just got the last table - obviously a popular place

We have had a brilliant afternoon celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday. The food and service were excellent. We were a party of 14 adults and 2 very small children. The staff were helpful and very courteous. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Fantastic sea views.

We call here from time to time, always seems busy, even on a midweek mid January day. No table sitting, just take your change, as was busy, long queue formed at the bar to order drinks and food, very slow on this occasion. The crab sandwich was excellent and the chips excellent, so despite a wait to order, lunch was... More

This place is busy and you can't book, bustling with walkers and their dogs coming in from the cold. We were a group of four and ordered drinks and a light lunch which was lovely and included crab toasts and sweet corn chowder, chips in beef dripping, kipper pate (I think) and crab soup. It was all beautifully presented and... More

Please try The Jolly Fisherman. Staff are friendly & food is to a high quality & good value. Wine list good and prices are fair. Very impressed with how they coped with 30 Royal Marines marching in for refreshments! Highly recommended.

Have had numerous bowls of crab soup here as it normally excellent. Today having lunch with a friend who wanted to see how good it was we were very disappointed in the quality. It seamed to be burnt and not be as lumpy as normal. The fishermans platter was also nothing like as good as it normally is. If this... More

Hello John H Thank you for your review. I'm glad you have visited regularly and enjoyed your soup on those occasions as you know what our usual standards are! I will do a quality control check asap as this is not the norm. Hope you do come back soon. David More

This pub is in a fantastic position overlooking the sea. This makes dining a very pleasant experience. The food, smoked kipper pate served with a side salad and a toasted piece of artisan bread was delicious. The bread however was slightly over toasted and the food slightly cramped on a wooden serving board. The beef dripping chips ordered as a... More

The Holly Fisherman at Craster is a lovely pub, with a breathtaking spot of the sea front. The pub and restaurant are both first class, food is delicious! The only thing stopping this place getting too marks is the price, the food is on the expensive side (£15-£25 per main meal). I would highly reccommend the pub, just be away... More

The food was devine, the staff were super friendly and those views, wow. The waves were rolling in on this particular cold November day but what site to be had of the sea rolling in from the window of a great pub. The food was delicious, the portions were big and served piping hot. You cannot go to Craster and... More
