Had dinner here last night with four friends. We ordered four different main courses and two desserts. Everything was excellent. The service was efficient and friendly. Lovely ambiance. Will be back.

We were near by so decided to pop in for a bite to eat. There is some parking out the front but that was full on our arrival but we did manage to get parked just down the street. We went inside and was told...to take a seat anywhere. We sat outside to enjoy to sunny weather and they had plenty of parasols for some shade. There seemed to be 2 waitresses working and they were very friendly and chatty which was lovely as you could tell they were very busy. I ordered the Gam Bas Pil Pil for starter and my husband got the seafood Chowder, it took about 45 mins from arrival to actually getting our starters and people that arrived after us got their food the same time as us. Both starters were really tasty. My husband got the fish and chips for mains with a side of onion rings, the sides were very crispy but his fish was nice but the bottom was a bit soggy with grease. I had a portion of bbq chicken wings with chips, my wings were cold but my chips were warm, both tasted good. If your in the area definitely call in, the food is good, great size portions, very nice staff even when ran off their feet in the heat.More
Raining told to sit at a wet table, empty reserved dry tables and for the money expected more. Went to Rosies takeaway and a better venue with lovely food
Excellent bar, friendly staff, lovely food. nice warm room with turf in fireplace. Has a wide range of rare Irish Whiskeys. Would highly recommend
Can’t fault it! Friendly staff, lot’s of choice on the menu and the food was delicious. All done outside in line with the current regulations and government guidelines. Such a peaceful spot for lunch. Will definitely be back again!
DEAR GUEST THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE KIND WORDS IT MEANS A LOT TO US .STAY SAFE AND HOPE TO SEE YOU SOON .REGARDS EDDIE
I had a very tasty curry and my other half had a burger. The curry was full of flavour. He loved the burger it was homemade and packed with bacon, cheese etc. The Pinot wine was lovely. The decor is old fashioned but it’s a...real Irish spot 😀More
thank you for your kind words glad you enjoyed your meal;the old world bar is nice old never gets old
I had a lovely meal here recently with a group of friends. The staff were friendly and chatty, making it a very enjoyable experience. The food was good too. The Covid19 social distancing requirements were applied properly, but the staff still made it an enjoyable...evening.More
Myself my wife and my two children had a lovely Sunday evening meal at Eddies this Sunday evening, first off the food was fantastic my wife had the house special burger and I had the fajitas both were excellent, my children were very happy with...their meal also, the service from our waiter and bar man was really good and they made us feel very welcome and to top it all off the atmosphere in the Bar was really good with a good mix of people having food a few in having a Sunday evening drink. We will be back very soon.More
Two years since my last review and the food is even better if that is possible. Two meals in Eddie’s so far and both were outstanding - the slow roasted pork belly could grace a seven star restaurant, the tempura prawns simply melt in your...mouth and the seafood chowder and apple pie are still the best I have ever eaten anywhere. If you find yourself within fifty miles of Clonbur, divert to Eddie’s - it’ll be the best move you’ve made this summer 😀😀More
Came here as a family for dinner twice last week. Boys are 4 and 6 and staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Staff extremely friendly and my 4 year old told me when we left he was in love with the young waitress....Such a lovely atmosphere the minute you walk in and very reasonably priced and extensive menu especially when compared to some of the touristy places in Cong one in particular very unfriendly that we left. The food was also delicious and pints very good. Thank you so much for the great hospitality we will definitely be back next time we are in Clonbur.More
We are delighted that you enjoyed your time with us and look forward to seeing you and your family again!
We arrived here for lunch on our bus tour to Cong. This unassuming pub certainly did not give us any glimpse of what was inside. After we were seated we quickly had our orders take and were settled in with our drinks in hand, After...what seemed like a short interval, our ears were served piping hot. Honestly it was the best F&C in all of Ireland!!! Plus top it all off with awesome Irish cheesecake.More
Eddie's Bar is popular which means it can get very busy at times with all sorts of a clientele, local and visitor alike. The food is always, but always, of very good quality from quite an extensive menu.
What more can I say everything a pub should be Great Owner in Eddie Amazing Bar Man in Chris Ever great pack lunch for fishing
Finished a hike and hit Eddie's for food and a drink. Good food, lots of choice. Chowder was good, as were other meals we had. Nice wood fire going too. But the piped music was and became quite annoying. Been here a few times and...have noticed this before too. Would be worthwhile sorting this out.More
