We went to this restaurant on our last night in Brussels. I had read very nice reviews about it and it was very close to our hotel. It’s best to make a reservation, we didn’t had one but luckily the staff was very helpful and...More
Le Chou de Bruxelles was round the corner from my hotel so I decided to visit based on that the tripadvisor reviews - and I was so glad I did!
I was warmly welcomed as a solo diner and made very comfortable in the restuarant....More
I had one of my favorite dining experiences here during my short stay in Brussels. Also recommended by The Hotel. The ambience inside was quaint and romantic but my favorite was the back patio decorated with little twinkling lights. While I dined alone the staff...More
I was glad to visit this place since I was able to taste original belgian style mussels!
I ordered mussels a la creme and they were absolutely tasteful. Maybe one of the best restaurants in Brussels and far from tourists crowds.
Initially I had my reservations about this place in relation to the price. Yes there are cheaper restaurants, but there is a reason that this one is packed. It’s situated away from the busy tourist areas around the Grand Place. I believe there is a...More
The decor is typical Belgian (Jacques Brel etc), the atmosphere warm, and the food lived up to expectations from the starters to the dessert. Les moules are the signature of the place but the lamb in beer was also very good, tender and tasty although...More

Excellent service and atmosphere and the best mussels anywhere. There are so many varieties to choose from that you are spoiled at the thought. This is a restaurant that you will be so very happy that you visited. If we lived in Brussels we would...More
We fall in line with all the 5 star ratings as this little jewel has great food, attentive waiters and great ambiance. Either lunch or dinner are fine. It earns its fine reputation. The wine was very good and the mussels were especially well prepared...More

We didn't notice the compose your own menu. We went for a starter each, followed by moules et frites, one bowl each - they have a large variety of flavours - they are delicious, and finished with typical Belgian waffles and an aperitif on the house. They put a little bib on you and give you a yellow claw like instrument to eat your moules. Hope you enjoy it!
