Moules frites par excellence, beef to die for and a great beer selection - all for a reasonable price. If you can get to Uccle, go here.

One of the oldest bars in Brussels, its atmosphere is created by its local heritage and love for beer. There is a great choose of celebrated Belgium foods at very decent prices, much cheaper for the quality than you will find in the centre.

Nice and typical food. A bit crowdy which is a good sign 😉 but worth it. Crew is really friendly and chief offered us a cognac

We had seen this bar during the day and decided to try it out for an evening meal. Good decision!! 50+ beers on the menu was an exciting challenge. We started with Orval. For food we had the Mezze to start - very generous portion of battered squid with tarama, tsaziki, stuffed vine leaves and fetta. Already in danger of... More

a very ancient place, with great history. an old auberge, once in the forest on the board on the road to Alsemberg, where travelers with their horses were taking a break for eating and drinking. the city developed and houses were built nearby, and today the building is located on a classic street, in the Forest area (commune) of Brussels.... If you are looking for a place with typical Belgian food, this is the place to be. Its also a nice little escape from the busy city centre. The waiters are really friendly. Great music and interior. And last but not least the food was really good, especially the vol au vent.

Maybe it's because we arrived quite late during the Sunday lunch service, maybe everyone was having a bad day but I cannot agree with a lot of the reviews posted here so must have been very unlucky indeed. In a nutshell, it's the first time I have ever had to send a saucepan of mussels back to the chef. Half... More

Excellent bar/bistro with typical menu. The customer service is better then in other, similar places in Brussels. You can order food until pretty late (at least until 23:00) The choice of beers is very nice (Westmalle Double from the tap for 3 Euro!!) They also have a nice terrace at the back of the restaurant.

It was a fun place to eat, great service (frence), and a diverse menu with many special beers. The food itself was tasty and we paid an acceptable amount of money for it. In general, we are coming back!
