This place was recommended to us by the housekeeper of the villa we stayed at. When a local recommends a generally touristy spot, it's definitely worth checking out! We ended up coming here twice on our week long trip, ate lunch on both days but couldn't see the place the first time round as it was raining. So do keep... More

Authentic Mauritian cuisine, great service, pittoresque creole house with large green gardens with grand trees. A little cute corner for kids, a little farm. Recommended for families who wanted to spend a nice time away from the traditional commercial restaurants

We drove through along the South coast and had lunch at the restaurant. The food was outstanding. We chose the vanilla chicken, their signature dish. It is really very good. We had a table outside on the veranda, which was lovely. The tour is not worth it. You get rushed through the factory in 2 minutes, to see how vanilla... More

The fish and chicken curry was very tasty as was the banana and ice cream dessert. The building is really interesting and it is worth going upstairs to view the photos and information about the place. The gardens are interesting and the rum factory is a bonus

A farmyard style restaurant, in an old sugar cane plantation, right handside of an tree lined driveway. Trees and buildings seem from much of another century, which positively contributes to the overall flair. With a onsite factory store and museum, plus a pet zoo (which attracted quite a few of kids) Wide range of food Food of fresh good quality... More

It was a beautiful day at a great place with a good friend. Out in the country side is a colonial style building awaiting for you. We went to the rum factory next door and also did a tasting of their local rums. The 15 year old rum is a winner. Drink it neat on ice. It is smooth and... More

This is an amazing place to visit, even on a rainy day. There is much more here than the restaurant, with large tropical trees dominating the driveway and front garden of this once colonial estate. We were joined at the table on the large veranda by a pair of red-whiskered bulbuls. Table service was a bit slow. There was a... More
