This is one of a number of riverside cafe/bistros overlooking the Herault as it flows into the Mediterranean. The service is welcoming and responsive, and the food is simply prepared and presented, and is quite delicious. The seafood dishes, in particular, offer a treat for the tastebuds. The locally sourced wines are cheap, cheerful, and entirely quaffable.

A chance visit! We had soup and mussels. Both were well prepared and served, along with a nice bottle of Picpoul.

We had a simple meal of soupe de poisson and moules frites. Good service and delicious food. The restaurant is located along side the Herault close to the Med.

From the moment we arrived the two waitresses were very helpful and enthusiastic. My wife had the fish soup for starters followed a salmon, both were excellent. For my starter... More

I went with a friend to le Grau d'Age for lunch. I've tried few restaurants but I did not try the Astoria. So, we went there for lunch on Saturday and trusted the recommendation stickers of the "Petit Futé" 2012 & 2013, and Tripadvisor. We ordered a glass of wine and a glass of wine with a dash of peach... More

We ate out every evening in our two months in Europe. We also had a good experience. Some better than others. This restaurant provided the most memorable service and good food we had during our trip. If we had stayed longer I would have gone back. It is one I would recommend.

This was our last evening here at the lovely Grau D' Agde. We have eaten out every night of our cycling holiday from Bordeaux to Sete. Every restaurant we attended from michelin star to Bar Tabac to classic menus have all been perfect. So tonight after trying 5 restaurants in Grau D' Agde we thought give the Astoria a go.... More

We had delicious food and good service. The seafood lasagne and prawns were memorable good. The restaurant overlooks the river and the sunset was beautiful.
