A huge family-run out of the way place near the remotest tip of Connemara, that combines pub, restaurant and Mace shop next door. An other wordly feel for visitors – locals speaking Irish in a charming accent, lots of men in baseball caps at the...More
If you are visiting Clifden area, take a drive down R341 toward Ballyconneely and have dinner here. The abience is warm and cozy, great lighting for dinner, candles etc. The food is great.
Stopped here for some lunch and found it to be a charming pub with nice staff. However from reviews on food was expecting more. Both mine and my partners dishes lacked flavour and taste but would recommend the place for a drink.

Excellent seafood chowder and local crab claws. Washed down with cold Guinness after playing Connemara Golf and horse riding on the beach at The Point Pony and Trail. What a great meal!
