We have just returned from a week in Marina di Bibbona. We visited Il Bolognese da Sauro twice during our stay. Both evenings, the food was fantastic. There was a good selection on the menu across all courses as well as a lovely selection of wine and prosecco. My husband and I left both evenings feeling very full! The staff... More

It was our last night in Italy and we looked for a restaurant to have nice dinner. Il Bolognese da Sauro is a family restaurant with a long history, many photos at the walls and very attracting atmosphere. We didn't book in advance but the manager found a place for us, so we sat very close to the kitchen and... More

Just back from the place and surprised it is number 3 here in the village. I had Risotto Frutti di mare which was enriched with scampi from Thailand or Vietnam, why, probably to save cost as local gamberetti are more expensive, however one (!) gamberetti and probably 10 or 15 Vongole verace found on my plate, not enough to justify... If you have no plan to explore the region that day and look for a nicer place in a village away form the direct coastal line, this one might be a good choice. It was almost fully booked and the owner found a table for us (not having a reservation). It is a lively place, friendly but very busy staff.... More

The restaurant is located imperceptible. But in the evening it can be recognized by the long queue. Book a table in advance! Wonderful seafood, fish! Great wine! Once we ordered steak - and also excellent! Service attentive and open hearts, we are very pleased that discovered this place. Each dinner - as a new discovery! We recommend sincerely!
