This is the first time I write a review for a place where I haven't had a chance to actually taste the food. But I am so disappointed by the circumstances that I had to submit some comments. The place advertises food all day and afternoon tea. We arrived around 15:30 for tea but were told we'd have to wait... More

The food was really nice, if a little expensive and not many choices. But the quality was superb. The breakfast was really nice. Although lacking yogurt. A malt Easter bunny was a lovely touch.

We visited the Penderyn Distillery and asked if there was anywhere for lunch nearby. We were directed to the Ty Newydd Hotel which has this restaurant in it . The food was very good indeed and the bill was less than I expected.

We were staying at Ty Newydd Country Hotel and this was the hotel's restaurant. Very clean and modern. Staff were excellent both at breakfast and dinner. Good range of food and wines well priced.

I have visited this restaurant 3 times during the past year, and on each occasion it has left me feeling rather dissatisfied on a number of levels:- the menu is not competitively priced, elements from a shared starter were missing and the seasoning of the main course (particularly the sauce) were 'off '. One of the visits was for afternoon... More

Went here as it was the restaurant at the hotel, food was great local produce and they tried to ensure that they managed table bookings to allow maximum service. They succeeded would go again which is always the best recommendation.

Had both our evening meals here. Service excellent, and food likewise. We enjoyed our meal so much on 1st night that we had exactly the same choice the following evening. The chicken and hake from the set menu were delicious.

Certain sides on the menu were not served. When asked we were told they had run out. Small portions and potatoes/chips extra. Food well cooked. Expensive.
