All reviews steak seafood chowder fresh fish prawns whitebait ice cream fries jacket potato pudding grill night peppercorn sauce food was great last night lovely meal cannot fault long wait a great evening
Ate here and the food was dreadful. Overcooked prawns which were like rubber. We both ordered a chicken burger for the main. That was dreadfully overcooked and basically inedible. Will not return and will not recommend.
Booked this a few weeks ago ahead of a short break in Milford. Website says a deposit is required, but no ability to pay this when doing an online booking. Tried ringing a couple of times, but just goes to an automated system that never...answered. Also tied emailing via the contact us on the website but both times go an undeliverable response. 🤷♂️
Anyway, got a confirmation email of the booking a week ago and turned up tonight and the booking was in their system…
Seated inside, nice ambience. Staff polite, attentive without being overbearing. Drinks and food arrived promptly. Food was lovely (huge prawns in the garlic prawn starter) and the whitebait was very nice. My wife had bouillabaisse (apparently a specialty), which was nice although the calamari was a bit on the tough side. My Cajun hanging kebabs was delicious, although the accompanying pitta bread was overdone and a bit like cardboard. We only had room for a shared dessert - ice cream and brownie sundae - it was huge, 4 scoops of ice cream and loads of brownie pieces.
Nice selection of drinks - I had beers, my wife had a lovely grapefruit gin.
All in all, a very pleasant meal, and I’d definitely come back here again.More
This place is a great surprise. Located on the marina, it is readily accessible, but try to plan your parking!
Make sure you book as it is justifiably popular.
The service and welcome were excellent.
We expected a brilliant marina bar / restaurant and were...not disappointed. The menu is modern and offers a great range of food.
Make sure you go there.More
We were a group of 8 without a booking and then managed to accommodate us outside and turned a heater on. The view of the marina was very nice. I personally went for the prawns for starter which were high quality and good value. The...halloumi fries were also very good. The mains were generous portions with chip-shop style trips. We almost tried the entire menu and everyone was thoroughly impressed. I went for the fish bouillabaisse, which was incredible. There were also a wide selection of desserts. I would definitely come again if I’m ever on holiday around Pembrokeshire again.More
Booked into Martha’s Vineyard for part of my Mum’s 60th birthday weekend. We chose it based on the reviews and were so, so disappointed by both the quality of the food and the service we received.
It was just the two of us and we...decided to split the fish and chips and the Welsh burger.
Both of us ate the fish first, which was bland and looked like it had been cooked an hour ago and then dropped back in the fryer before servicing. The batter was so hard and dry.
Next came the burger, which was inedible… i don’t know whether the chef had just salted it twice or if that’s how they normally serve it… but the salt was so intense that it burned our tongues as we ate it.
Perhaps what was worse, was the staff’s reaction to this. We told one person and she said she would go speak to the chef and come back. She never came back! Then when we mentioned it to another member of staff, she half-heartedly apologised and then just handed us our bill for the full amount. No apology drink, no taking the burger off the bill nothing.
Then there is the other moments of the evening. The restaurant wasn’t full, but we were sat next to a door that supposedly led to the staff room, as we constantly had staff walking behind my mother ( closer than 2m, sometimes maskless) to go back and forth. You also have to walk through a trail of smoke to get to the door of the restaurant.
It’s the worst meal I’ve had for a while, and it was supposed to be a special occasion. I am going to write to them now and demand my money back.More
General excellent .. good food, great location and nice staff.
I gave them 5 because to deduct 1 on the star system is too much. The loss of half a star is the staff are great but inexperienced so they don't think what is needed...to eat your meal. But I would certainly come back and thank them for all their effortsMore
Lovely meal out for our family group of 3 adults and 2 teenagers - good menu with wide selection of dishes plus good specials for extra variety. Service was great, food was lovely - a really enjoyable evening.
