A small few of us girls met for some food. It was delicious. Staff all had masks, hand sanitiser throughout and the place was well spaced out. The beer garden is definitely a hidden gem. Great spot, will definitely be back 🥰

We are just back from a lovely evening meal in Rafterys. Fair play to the staff.... table service provided, face masks worn, plenty of hand sanitizer. The pizza was delicious! It is nice to get back out to a 'normal' life. We will be back.
Thank you vixytoria for your great feedback, we appreciate it! From all the Team here at Raftery's
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Raftery’s bar in Craughwell. The food was amazing, fresh and incredibly tasty. Faultless. The beer garden is beautiful and spacious with lots of fresh air. When we moved inside for our food our table was clean and well spaced...from other tables. Hand sanitizer was available in abundance. Staff were wearing masks. Table service was the norm. We had such a positive, relaxing and reassuring experience that I returned a week later with my family. Well done to everyone, staff and the proprietor Rachel. (Photos are of my family so don’t panic) Loved every bit of our visit. You have to try it. You will do well to find better.More

All the locals allowed to flaunt the Covid-19 laws there to protect us. No local people had to have a meal and they were all together, no social distancing and nobody had to leave after the allowed 105 minutes. The staff did not have face...masks or any other protection from getting the virus . To be fair there was hand sanitiser at the entry/exit points and in the bathroom however they had signage up that was being ignored and also not enforced.More
Was looking for somewhere to eat after the Ballinasloe Horse Fair, and looked to John & Sally McKenna’s Good Food Guide. Was a bit of a struggle to find somewhere not in Galway City or near the coast apart from Rafferty’s. So that’s where we...headed. Menu is pretty typical of pub food. BUT was definitely so much better than most. Really yummy & very good quality food. The pineapple & coconut cake was so incredible - and I don’t even like sweets! An American guest with us said it was the best meal she’s had in the 11 months since she’s been here!!!! The only reason I say 4/5 is because I’d love a bit more creativity on the menu....More

Stayed in local B&B, arrived in pub got great welcome!! Niall the bar man was the life and soul of the pub!! Told us sit down and he brought drinks to us, came down and chatted for ten mins! Gentleman! Great pint too 🍻🍻😀
Premium barfood and great beers with a big parking lot behind the house. Choose your favourite sports from 4 different TVs. Always great: Fish and Chips (I never had better chips)
