My wife and I visited here for lunch yesterday - excellent. I had the roast pork, she had Plaice. The pork melted in my mouth and the fish was only just cooked - perfection. Vegetables were just right for us both. Parking is easy with level walking to the building, meeting and greeting was friendly and professional, coats were stored... More

I visited this hotel with a friend as they do a Ladies that lunch package which means you can use the pool and sauna. We came on a Saturday for lunch which was a set menu at £22.95 per person for 2 courses. You have a choice of 3/4 dishes for each course to choose from. My friend had the... More

We stayed here for my brothers birthday, had a function and breakfast in the morning. The hotel is very old fashioned and different, not my usual scenery but worth every penny. We had a buffet which was limited in choice, however the quality and great taste made the lack of choice disappear. Thank you for a great night and if... More

My husband booked this hotel for us for a night away together on a cold November night. We had a four poster bedroom, which was lovely so that bit was great and very comfortable so no complaints there at all. The rest of the hotel was rather shabby and although it had a cosy old feeling to it, it also... More

We had a festive dinner at the manor Hotel costing £24.95. This represented excellent value and in general was good quality. We had three choices of starter,Main and dessert plus tea/coffee and Mince Pie. I took the traditional turkey dinner with Christmas Pud which was very nice, however the starter soup was a very bland parsnip and apple soup. I... More

Arrived for a friends 70th Birthday lunch on a Sunday. we were shown a table in the garden room which was very lovely. There was water on the table already which is good as I only drink water and tea. Bread was delivered to the table but not enough for a piece each but they gave us more when asked.... More

We booked an evening dinner with two friends (all retired) with whom we regularly dine out hoping that we would find the usual happy experience. We were shown into a very pleasant dining room, the ambience of which was spoilt by too loud 'music' of a very muffled and bassy nature. I was obliged to ask the waitress to turn... More

We used to heap praise on this restaurant, but sadly standards have slipped. On our latest visit for a mid-week lunch, there was no welcome and we had to ask to be seated. The chips were greasy and the fish was much more batter than fish. We were served by 3 different staff members, none of whom asked whether everything... More
