Where do I start..... Put it this way, when the previous owners had it (Carol's cafe) I was here nearly every week. In the year or so since then I've been to the new place 3 times, out of desperation. I usually go to Dingwall...or Alness instead. Food is average and the female who looks like she is in charge, what an attitude, abrupt as hell. Quick description of tonight's visit. Was served pretty much straight away. The guy who came in behind me ordered the EXACT same as me and was served after me but he gets his 1st.... Then they couldn't find my order. Was there over 20 minutes waiting. Please come out of retirement Carol 🙏More

We stopped in here for dinner which was delicious. We had battered pizzas with chips to takeaway. Service was extremely slow, must have waited about 10-15 mins as nothing was ready and the music was blaring so they couldnt hear what customers were ordering. My...head was bursting, glad we werent sitting inside. We sat outside on the chairs at front but no bins provided anywhere even inside shop. Service need to improve!More

We stopped in at the new location of McGinty's on our way to the Sailors Chapel. I was ready to test my appetite on some traditional Scottish haggis, served with neeps and tatties. (mashed parsnips and mashed potatoes.) It was interesting but chock full of...oats and organ meat which gives it that minerally, earthy taste. I would have to say, a bit like bad meat loaf, definitely an acquired taste. The service was good and the sides were fine. Their fish and chips were good.More

We visited during a chilly Invergordon day and thought it was a good idea to have something to eat. We spotted Carol's Cafe and headed straight to it. We ordered fish and chips and some tea. Food scoffed down and it was a pleasure to...do so. Just the job! Give it a try!More

Carol's is a friendly local spot for Fish & Chips. You can order take-away from the counter or sit down at one of the many tables. The owners know all the locals, and they're friendly to those of us out-of-town as well. Reliable great fresh...food.More
