This pub and restaurant have lovely staff and owner. The food can be ordered and cooked to your liking. I ring before hand and always have my favourite cooked to perfection. This is a traditional English pub that serves fantastic food. I wished lived nearer! They even have great bands on a Sunday. Great place.

Nice food at honest prices. Friendly staff. Good ales and coffee too. Would recommend it to anyone stopping by. It's right next to the train crossing.

We went to The Hope Tavern for a special lunch to take my Mum out before Christmas and to meet my sister her husband and a special friend of Mums who is now like part of the family. Although it was a Saturday Lunchtime the pub was very quiet but never the less we were made welcome and had a... More

We were staying in our caravan about 4 miles from here, we have been to most of the other pubs, but not this one, To be honest it looks closed when you drive past so we hadnt tried it. We should havetried harder. A lovely cosy pub,a bit dated but quite atmospheric. Bar staff and waiting staff were very pleasant,... More

Little pub with a good pint, good honest food as a reasonable price. I have been here a number of times and would recommend it.

Welcoming, comfy, cosy pub. Just had a cheese omelette with chips and salad, the salad was dressed with a lovely tasty dressing, which in alot of places you do not find a side salad dressed. Nothing is overpriced, so affordable for all. Hubby loved his Sherry Trifle, and I loved the treacle sponge as it had thick custard - yum.... More

We have never eaten here, but we go regularly to the blues afternoons held every couple of weeks from 4pm on a Sunday. It usually costs £8 per person and we have seen some quality musicians perform here over the last couple of years. The venue is intimate with a small performance area and can be loud, but that is... Not only was half the menu unavailable but the surroundings of deceased flies on the window ledge was a big off put, as well as the waitresses see through leggings. Both herself and the chef had a bad attitude when challenged about a big piece of plastic found in the peas of my elderly mothers meal which turned out to... More
