We travelled up from Milton Keynes , and rang to say we could be arriving late, what time is food served to. Had lunch today at the greyhound Inn Hackforth. The food and presentation were excellent. Cooked to order so fresh and hot. Man sized portions. Definitely worth a visit

The Greyhound is an old pub which provides a friendly atmosphere with good food and accommodation . Cosy and comfortable. No hesitation in recommending it to family and friends

We stayed here enroute to Scotland. This is an excellent stop off from the Midlands. On first inspection of the pub, it's clean and oldy worldy. The rooms are large and clean. All and more than you would expect from a pub b&b. Cheers your breakfasts are lovely. So is your labrador. I thought the prices are very reasonable too.... More

We enjoyed our stay and our room was quiet and clean. We ate in the pub (the only people there on a Monday evening) and the food was reasonable but by no means exceptional. Full breakfast with perfectly cooked (if pale) eggs and tasty bacon (yum). The price for the rooms high for what we got and we accepted it... More

As soon as we walked in we instantly felt welcome, we were greeted by a lovely black lab, very friendly! Our food came within the next 30 minutes. The food was lovely I would highly recommend the fish and chips, or the mussels. For dessert me and my sister shared a chocolate fudge cake, and that was yummy too! And... More

Not only does the Greyhound serve excellent Theakstons Ale, you can also eat tasty fresh cooked food - I recommend the Fish & Chips and so do locals as they were telephone ordering to take away. A welcoming and dog friendly inn a short drive from the main street of Bedale, it's worth a visit for the food served at... More

Friendly welcoming staff and gorgeous Ozzie the dog, spotlessly clean spacious family room, comfortable beds, great food - my daughter is a vegan so difficult to please but she was very happy with the food too. Lovely jolly pub atmosphere, extensive menu. My 4 yr old granddaughter had a brilliant time - and fell in love with Ozzie (even though... More

Had an early evening meal which was good without being stunning. Very good value. The Theakstons best however was in fine form. Just a shame I was driving
