In the countryside near Neuchatel, this restaurant and hotel is worth the trip. A small but varied menu, with vegetarian and meat options, and all local (meat, dairy, some veg and grains from the farm next door), my meal was delicious albeit rather simple unlike the more complicated cuisine that there was here in the past. Welcoming and quiet dining... More

Everything in this restaurant comes from their garden and their own farm. Food was incredibly yummy not to mention the wine from the region. The atmosphere is very romantic and the service is great!

Nice restaurant with a lot of space, excellent for family with kinds. Very calm with a small in-house shop within the counter area of the restaurant. The menu varies with the seasons and has good vegetarian and non vegetarian options. One speciality is meat from their own farm (like their cheese and other diary products). The food is well prepared... More

The food and coffee were great. Place open from breakfast to late afternoon snack. Everything fresh and clean. Staff very friendly. As I was staying in hotel, I could take my coffee to the room with me after eating. So comfortable. Free internet in restaurant, library, and room.

This place serves Eco-friendly fare with a flair for the unusual. I enjoyed a smoked meat on mashed potatoes and veggies surrounded by a fine reduction sauce. It was an odd meal, unlike any I've had before, and it was very well put together. The desert (tarte a la maison) was even better, as it was accompanied by real whipped... More

Portions are too small, food was served after one hour and was only lukewarm! The staff was totally inattentive as they did not realize that we were waiting one hour for our food.

We used to dine at l'Aubier years ago and went back last month for lunch. The atmosphere and decor of the dining area have not changed. The lunch menu seems smaller than it used to be and somewhat less ambitious. The asparagus we had were excellent, although for the price and the portion's size I would have expected a small... More

The restaurant is part of an eco-hotel, which also has an eco-boutique onsite. It is situated in the hills above Lake Neuchâtel, about 15 minutes drive from the city of Neuchâtel. Unlike many restaurants in the area, it has a good selection of vegetarian main courses (4 choices on the current menu), but it also has meat and fish dishes... More
