We had a meal here after a long day of sightseeing and soaking ourselves in the secret lagoon, which is just 5 minutes away from this restaurant. The food was good and the owner was friendly.

We came here as a recommendation from a friend who happened upon it on their drive from the Golden Circle to Hella. It was out of our way but I'm glad we stopped by as the food was delicious, the service was friendly and it was overall a great meal. We ordered a few different dishes and all were great.... More

Was surprised to find not only Ethiopian food, but pretty good Ethiopian food here. The place is run by a couple; the wife from Ethiopia, the guy Icelandic. I've eaten Ethiopian food in lots of places, including many parts of Ethiopia, and this was actually pretty good. The injera was not as it should be but they described to me... More

Interesting to have an Ethiopian place in this part of Iceland, while our group joked about coming here, our trip happened to end at dinner time 5 minutes away at secret lagoon. So we stopped for our dinner. Owners are wonderful. Even let me bring in a pizza for my 7 yr old who has not grown his pallet for... More

A small place where a couple (she is from Ethiopia) serves traditional tasteful Ethiopian food. You are supposed to eat with you hands of a big plate you share together.

This was surely an experience, I had never tasted ethiopian food before so I was not sure what I was getting into but it was really worth it. The food was exotic and tasty but the best part of the evening was the "coffee ritual", you'll see :)

Great, interesting food and a very friendly place. The service was amateur but very willing and extremely nice. We had the Minilik special which is safe to recommend.

Excellent Ethiopian food, they´ve toned down the sourness of the injera to suit local tastes and the food was delicious! Very cozy atmosphere and of course, they performed the Ethiopian coffee ceremony and some guests from the restaurant gathered around, shared some coffee and stories, very unusual for Iceland! Had a wonderful time. If you are not accustomed to Ethiopian... More

We had lunch here and really enjoyed it. The other clients were all American, we didn't see any locals here. The staff were wonderful and attentive, the food was genuine Ethiopian and very tasty. A nice change from the usual and we'd recommend it.

I liked the idea of getting Ethiopian and I was excited about the place. Food was interesting and delicious specially injera or that fermented bread they eat everything with. I liked the fact that you can get a ritual coffee ceremony for a little bit more money. The one thing I disliked about the place was the athmosphere. The waiters... More
