We have visited this restaurant numerous times with various friends and have always been very happy. It is good value and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. There is a set menu of various starters to share and if you are very hungry or...particularly like one of the starters you can have more and more! The main courses are limited and have not changed much over the last couple of years, however, we are now told. By the restaurant owner that more main courses are on offer which will be good. Desert is very local although chocolate fondant is available if you ask for it in sufficien time! All in all its a great Spanish experience in pleasant surroundings and very pleasant Spanish staff. Good value.More
We have been here several times over the years. The first thing to note is that you need to be able to at least try and converse in Spanish. The menus are all Spanish and the staff don't really speak English - but hey you...are in Spain! We go for set menu Sunday lunch (you need to book). For 26 Euros you got 4 starters, mains, desert and coffee and as much to drink as you want (beer and soft drinks). You used to be able to get wine included but that is no more. Also the portion sizes are smaller than they sued to be. They did accommodate our daughter who is vegetarian, which is great. All in all a nice meal, but the meal was not quite as good as previous visits.More
We have visited this restaurant several times, and have never been disappointed. It is in a beautiful country, quirky setting ( several areas in which to eat, and there is an aviary near the loos!) and the staff range from friendly to the usual Spanish...indifference. The set meal (26 euros per person) consists of four starter plates for your group to share ( we had squid (very tender), smoked salmon and pineapple (unusual), tomato (boring) and a pastry dish with a vegetable filling and interesting sauce (delicious). For main course, we had a choice of meat, fish and paellas. All good. Dessert just arrived (we were not asked if we wanted it) but fruit was available on request. Soft drinks, water and beer are included in the menu price, but wine (very reasonably priced) is not included. If you like good quality, simple, well cooked Spanish food, this restaurant is recommended, although not best value for money. If you are looking for something a bit more complex, elegant, and imaginative, look elsewhere.More
