Welcoming and friendly, only locals eat here, but my brother prefers this type of restaurant to tourist haunts. Superb calamari with salsa verde and fantastic Iberico jamon with Parmesan. Mains were a little cool and had to be returned, one was still cool, but to be fair we were not charged for this (their offer, not our request, which was... More

Went there for lunch. Good welcome and we're shown to table near window. Chose mid range menu of €22 which includes 3 starters (like tapas ), main course of cod and dessert plus coffee. Menu also included a bottle of house white. Food and wine was superb.

Had lunch here a couple of times now and enjoyed both occasions. Arrived at about 1.55pm and had the place to ourselves but by 2.05pm the restaurant began to fill up and by 2.30pm it was very busy with the majority of clients being Spanish so very few tourists. Both the service and food were very good and the bill... More

I was afraid in my return after 6 years to this restaurant, because I´ve read bad comments about it these last days. But it was not true. The quality of the rice, service etc its still great and for me keeps being the best Caldero´s rice of Spain. And not just that. Theres also lots of delicious tapas to taste.... More

Caldero - the typical rice dish of the region - is what you should go for. My only issue is the amount of salt used. It seems that being generous with salt is part of the local cooking know-how. You gotta get used to it. I just wish one could choose between salty or less salty as we choose between... More

This place looks amazing. We have been to many places and were looking forward to trying the restaurant. We were the first people to arrive and were shown to our table. The waiter threw five menus onto the table and walked off...not the best starts. We ordered the food which too k a while to come but we have time... More

We went here for lunch with friends and had the set menu, which was 3 courses and a bottle of wine all for just 20 euros! We went to choose our starters from the menu but were told we got all of them! We had seafood Paella for our mains and it was excellent, not the typical small plate you... More

Was taken here for dinner by Spanish colleagues on a recent business trip to the Murcia region and this restaurant was a place that one of them had eaten at before so wanted me to try the Caldero there. I was not disappointed! It was very well cooked & I even finished off the fish that they used for the... More

Just had the worst lunch here - just wanted a simple platter of Pescdos Fritos, which is normally one of my favourite dishes. It was close to inedible. The squid and most of the fish hadn't been cleaned properly, prawns still had veins in, some unidentifiable chunks of fish tasted almost rancid ... it was all just really, really awful.... More

This is a well appointed restaurant on the way back to Cabo from the lighthouse, and it has a fantastic small bar (designed as a trawler) for a quick seat and a beer to recover from the heat. It has been closed for sometime, but great to see it open again.
