This bar would be a typical bar, especially oriented towards Tourism, but for the old-fashioned decor which lends an extra bit of atmosphere. It has your typical bar offerings, a TV, Andalusian tiles, a little courtyard, beautiful old, dark wood (which makes it feel a bit old fashioned and heavy, but also nice and cool in the summer and less... We were glad they had an English menu as the waiter did not speak much English. I ordered a dish consisting of chickpeas and spinach which was served with bread. I liked it. My parnter ordered a type of cordon bleu which was a convenience food version directly out of the deep freezer. Part of the service was a bowl... More

we were alone in this restaurant on a cold, windy day; the village is on top of a mountain - don't trust your GPS, it will want to take you through impossible little streets - come in from the east of the town the food is excellent; we were at lunch, so we had a selection of tapas to share;... Paco and Isabel are wonderful hosts and one can easily be impressed by Paco's enthousiasm for the local produce. As other reviewers I can certainly recommed the baked goat cheese. Unless you are very hungry I recommend that you share this starter. As a main course I had lamb cutlets which very a bit on the dry side.

Ate dinner her tonight and truly enjoyed the food, the hospitality and the outdoor patio. After being in Spain for a week so far we are still getting used to the laid back attitude of the waitstaff. It is nice not to feel so rushed as we do in the states. After taking time to get familiar with the menu... More

We had a wonderful meal of grilled lamb and beef in this friendly local restaurant. The baked goat cheese appetizer was one of the best things I've ever tasted, perfectly prepared, and our charming waitress offered us tastings of first press olive oil (only days old!). The oil is for sale there, and we purchased some, because it goes quickly!

We had a hearty, typical, local meal for a very reasonable price. Really good and great value. They had an outdoor patio, although it was internal so no view of the valley or the beautiful village of Zuheros.

Best cheese anywhere. Can't beat a platter of these wonderful goat cheeses and a cold beer after a walk through the stunning gorge just outside the village. Lovely shady patio outside for hot days, friendly welcome - what more can you want? To take some cheese home- yup, you can do that as well!

Like many others who have reviewed this restaurant, we really liked it. Hard to fault for great service and interesting, good, substantial local food. The menu is pretty extensive features dishes often not found in other restaurants in the area. I had the stewed bull's tail which was excellent and the cheese fest that was served up for my wife...
