Great little restaurant, probably the best oysters we have tasted, we went for a dozen of the specials, for main course the monkfish was perfectly cooked and there was plenty of fish, my partner enjoyed the scallop brochettes all washed down with good white wine. All in all a very positive experience.

We didn't reserve but had a table with great service, fantastic food and bonne ambiance. Having spent 3 days in town and been underwhelmed by the fare on offer, this was a welcome relief. Highly recommended.

Invited my father for a Sunday's lunch. It was a very pleasant Sunday afternoon, and the restaurant was busy but not crowded, plus we arrived early. Lunch started nicely, as we shared a seafood plate, very good quality and well cooked. Then we waited for the main dishes, and waited and waited... We reminded the waiters politely of our presence... We reserved a table for 4 with our 2 dogs -which wasn't an issue! I had fish soup followed by scallops. Both were excellent and very enjoyable. My partner had carpaccio of scallops followed by mussels which he also enjoyed. To finish, the four of us shared two house Tarte Tatins which were lovely and garnished with toasted almond slivers.... We turned up without a reservation and were found a table. This is very much a sea food restaurant & the menu reflects this (I'm not a fan of seafood and I was aware of the menu before I entered so this is an observation not a criticism). My companion enjoyed her food and said that it was cooked well.... More

Booked a table for Saturday night, our starter came within a few minutes, a mixture of prawns etc, good food. However it went downhill from here, we waited an hour and a half for the main course, everyone around us was being served first and I had to ask twice before we got our food, which was good, but we... We had not booked a table, but got one by the skin of our teeth, ten minutes later it was packed! This is a very busy, popular restaurant, and with good reason. You can design your own 'fruits de mer' here, a great idea for those who are not fans of all shellfish. We had oysters, clams, langoustines and half... More

On the terasse expect small tables and dingy chairs. Menu focuses of course on shellfish and seafood. Local grey shrimps are very small, not that tasty. Oysters are quite good. The local white wine from Ile d'Oleron is a Chardonnay that tastes like a California Chardonnay, not a ccompliment in my book. Average service
