Driving thru the village of Paradou looking for lunch we stumbled on Le Bistro around noon with only 1 car in the paring lot. Greeted at the entrance was our waiter asking if we had reservations and replied we did not. He seated us and advised they offered a fixed entre of the day for 55 euros ea.- Salad/Cassoulet/cheese/desert &... More

We'd been recommended this "fun" Bistro by the owners of the beautiful bed and breakfast in St. Remy where we'd stayed, for having lunch there after our visit to Baux de Provence on our way to Marseilles to fly home. It didn't disappoint!.A refreshingly "different" style of Bistro which despite its limited daily menu (which is their "calling card characteristic"... More

This was my second visit to this amazing restaurant. It is very easy to explain this experience. You go there and they bring you food. There are very few options but what I can tell you is the food is some of the best you will ever taste. Simple fare done impeccably. On our visit the main course was roasted... More

The restaurant is in an old building and we were advised to book in advance as it is always popular - and we can understand why! We were given a choice of 2 starters, but main course is fixed as is the price. Cheese is included and we were given the board to cut as much as we wanted. There... More

We came for lunch on a Friday, so the main course was aioli, which wouldn't have been my first choice, but I must admit that it was very good aioli, with fish, escargots, egg, potatoes, carrots and cauliflower. For lunch, it is a set menu, with little or no choice or variation, except the cheeses and dessert. My impression is... More

We recently visited the Bistrot du Paradou with friends and enjoyed one of the best evenings of our holiday. We have visited many restaurants in this area and would rate this as one of the best. The menu is limited to a choice of two starters, a main, cheese and desserts plus wine. The main course the evening we visited... More

A large, comfortable and inviting dining room (on the rainy night we visited) or the large outside space under the plane trees, this restaurant has a huge following. Their formula is simple -- a choice of starters, ONE main course, a cheese course and choice of dessert for 57 Euros. And, all the wine of the day you need to... More

One of our favorites in the region for many years has new ownership apparently. Chez Jean-Louis is no more. Enter Chez Vincent. The place has changed in more ways than that. First of all, the food is good not great. Poor presentation but filling. The place is just too loud. Not sure if it's all the Americans or what but... More

Friends of mine took me here for a leisurely lunch. It was a beautiful summer afternoon. We dined under the trees. Delicious bread, olive oil, olives, perfect green salad, salted cod, potatoes, carrots, garlic mayonnaise, amazing cheeses, desserts and wine. The staff was fun, very friendly and professional.

Located in the beautiful Provence village of Paradou, this a favourite of mine and my friends. The menu is interesting as in there is no menu, depending on the day, it is either chicken or lamb, but don't let this deter you, there is usually a choice of starter, excellently described by the superb waiters, followed by the main event,...
