From opening the door to paying the bill, everything was beyond expectations. A friendly welcome was a warm beginning to what was an extremely lovely experience. What we had was so exceptional for the money it is a shame that the menu is probably changed...on a regular basis as we both would re-order what we had on our next visit. Homemade food at it's best.- one of the nicest cassoulets we have ever had (the duck sausage was in a class of it's own and should be a regular addition to the menu. Why do sausage and lentils (or beans) rarely appear these days?). The patron's wife is the chef (and liqueur supremo). A wonderfully bright and relaxing bistro of the old school run by gifted people. Thank you.More

We stopped at this lovely little place on our way to Quimper. We had no booking (of course) but got a very friendly welcome and a nice table for two. Food was freshly made of great quality products and served quickly. Great Pinot Noir! Extremely...nice and professional staff, we def recommend this restaurant.More

I was surprised by the quality of food in Coup de Fourchette after reading reviews and seeing it being listed amongst the top restaurants in Honfleur. I have been to many restaurants in Honfleur and can categorically say it is only mediocre, if that. The...furniture is basic and jolly. That's fine. The service was attentive. That is appreciated. The smell of cooking, an aerosol of grease in the air, is less acceptable. It is not the the smell of fresh cooking, but rather that of cooking oil in a chip shop. The food was disappointing. Not all of it was bad, but a lot of it was bad enough to make one decide never to return. My fried camembert was OK. My wife's sardine was from a tin, chopped and mixed with herbs. Was it meant to be cool to include the tin on her plate? It was off putting. My moule crème was not fresh, was overcooked and had plentiful salt to disguise the lack of freshness. I was hungry so I ate it all but it tasted only of salt. My guests struggled with their Andouilette. The bavette many of the ten of us ordered was very poorly cooked. Our younger son said he is numb to school food. The sauce was just cornflour. My wife's bavette was cold and the ratatouille still frozen. It could have been a poor standby chef. It was a really poor show despite the excellent service. No level of service can make up for such disappointment. I don't know what else to say but to apologies to my wife and family, and to our five guests who are dear friends. I hope they will forgive me for trusting TripAdvisor.More

This restaurant is located close to, but not in Honfleur. Its "claim to fame" is its menu featuring local dishes- from Basse Normnady. It has been awarded TripAdvisor's prised "Certificate of Excellence" over each of the past 4 years. The service is very friendly, "professional"...as well as helpful. The cost is much lower than at the nearby fine dining restaurants [only 19 euro for a 3 course meal]. While not on the very busy "tourist track", it is well worth a visit. I hope that this Review has been helpful.More

We booked this restaurant based on excellent trip advisor reviews. Although the staff were friendly and tried to accomodate, there were no vegetarian mains and we were charged 19 euro each for two courses, entree and dessert. Entree and dessert were quite nice but not...worth 19 euro.More

After reading several reviews about the food we were looking forward to a good meal at this restaurant. Located on the roadside in a village and around 19 euros for 3 courses it was well overpriced and not good at all. The wine was not...cheap either. Someone said Honfleur was expensive however we saw cheaper deals there.More

My wife and am have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. It is as good as some of the Michelin restaurants in Honfleur! It is fairly small so either come early or make reservations. The owner speaks English if you don’t speak...French.More

We stayed just outside Honfleur and thought we’d have a look on Tripadvisor for a recommendation for somewhere a bit different and this one was recommended. We went for lunch on the Friday before we left and it was so good we reserved for lunch...for the next day. Thursday saw adults have a wonderful lardon and mushroom and onion in a creamy sauce on a roasted crepe with a succulent entrecôte steak and an amazing turkey chunks in an amazing poultry broth with onions and raisins. The children had roast chicken and chips and ice cream for dessert from a wide selection, choosing salted caramel. The next day the only thing which changed was we had butternut veloute and adults desserts were pineapple roasted in rum and a chocolate fondant. Oh boy. To die for! This is an amazingly friendly place where you’re served by the owners, a young couple, who love seeing children served too. Parking is easy nearby. Reservations are advised. Very high quality cooking using fresh local food at very reasonable prices. We’ll be back the next time we’re in the area.More

Visited four times this summer and will definitely be back in 2019. One visit with two children of 6 and 2 years who were warmly welcomed and well fed .

Keep this place a secret foodies - you already have to be quick to get a table because, seriously, this guy knows how to cook. None of the pretentiousness and over inflated prices for pretty ordinary tucker like in Honfleur here - this is off...the beaten track and well worth a diversion. Fresh and simple excellence on a plate!More

We were fortunate to be staying in the village but there doesn't seem to be an online booking function available, only a telephone number.
