Having had enough of overpriced not too great food we perused TripAdvisor and found chez papy. It's a short drive from honfleur in a more working town. The proprietor and I assume his wife communicated with us with my pidgin French and Google translate. The...restaurant is small and quaint with only 5 or 6 tables. We ordered the lamb tagine with couscous, son had gallette flika. The tagine was lovely with a good selection of vegetables (sadly lacking in the meals here so far), the lamb very tender and tasty. My son said his meal was good. Followed by chocolat ligeous, ice cream for dh and chocolat crepe for son. This with a 1/2 carafe of vin blanc and a lemonade. All came to €60. Three of the tables were reserved for the night but we came at 7pm. Great restaurant, so so different from those tourist traps in honfleur. However only tagine, omelette and gallette for savoury choices. Well worth a visit.More

Based on the main road of a delightful town. Looked to be the the most authentic and welcoming place on a Sunday evening. I had the salmon pancake. Extremely tasty and rather filling. My partner had a very fluffy cheese and ham omelete. All washed...down with a carafe of ok rose. Will return to try the tagine, which needs to be pre ordered. We visited on a whim, and this is a little gem of a restaurant. Really great service and the food is amazing. Highly recommend the tagine which is phenomenal.
