First time at Miako, and did not disappoint. They have a beautiful terrace courtyard and garden with a covered space in case it rains. Food was amazingly good, and service was fantastic. My wife and I will be back! Highly recommend the cold cucumber soup...and eggplant spread!! Superb wine options as well.More

So the name of the place is highly pinned on the gourmet map of Hungary, as it is considered top-ranked. We were very curious to try it out, arrived with mixed feelings, as so many times these places can be a disappointment, BUT not this...one!! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, we got a table within minutes of arrival, but I do recommend to have a reservation beforehand! The waiters are professional, have an extensive knowledge about the food and drinks served here, so we had no problems ordering. The dishes prepared were eye-catching, mouth-watering and all in all extremely delicious!!! Nothing at all to fault! I will surely return, thank you!!!! Recommend!More

Great food, lovely setting Came here on a recommendation; short and seasonal menu; did not wait long for the food; great portion sizes. Polite service; only that our waiter did not speak English, only German but they had an English menu so it was no...problem. Call ahead for a reservation (its a must over the weekend).More

The other day, we showed up at the restaurant to have a possibly late breakfast. A waiter greeted us and in a fairly rude manner told us that we are late for breakfast but we cannot have lunch but still come in to sit and...drink till they may start serving food. He also offered an option of selecting some meals from the starters, where we had two options; the goose liver terrine and the beef tartar. About the beef tartar, he was not sure though, it took him about half an hour (the same time it took for the drinks to arrive) to figure out if they actually had it or not. Well, by a little after noontime, more than an hour of waiting, we got out food. The goose liver terrine was amazing, really really delicious, and with the onion jam and the great brioche was culinary perfection. On the contrary, the beef tartar was mediocre; the low quality minced meat product did not harmonize well with the dry bread they put on the side. All in all, I rate the place as fairly average, but may only come back if the waiters learn some manners and/or the quality and price of the meals in line with the location gets balanced out.More

we had the most lovely dinner there -- by far the best we had in our six days in Hungary, (including a one michlen star restaurant in Budapest [can't recall the name even...], which was nothing to compare to this!). Highly recommend and very sorry...we didn't get back there for a second meal before leaving. Everything was good, atmosphere relaxed and pleasant, prices totally reasonable (especially for such quality). Looking forward to next visit!More

We were here in August 2019. The service is friendly and absolutely professional. Food is very tasty, fresh made. Home made lemonades and syrups. -1 star because the soups were lukewarm. But everything else was really great. We will come back soon.

We spent a lunch with 6 friends on Wednesday evening. Try different starters, soups, main course and desserts with 2 bottle of wine. Everything was perfect. A must visit palce if you are in the Northern part of Balaton.

We were here to spend a nice dinner. The first impression is supergood. After we faced a hesitant and not well prepared waiter. Could hardly recommend and was not chatty about the courses. The main dishes were delicious, really were. The unfortunate thing is that...a hair was in it. We could feel the lack of experience on the service. A bit of rain ruined the control over the tables. The meal was nice but the service has A lot to improve.More
