Food is cooked to order, so a little wait is sometimes necessary rather than place that simply warm up fast... More

This is not a gastro pub but offers good size portions of well cooked food. For me the highlight was the classic Eton Mess. As good as I have had anywhere. Note that they are closed on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday lunchtimes.

What is on offer here is good quality pub food served in generous portions. My tip is to just have a main course otherwise there will be no room for a pudding. The sample menu is a good guide but not all the items are available all the time. Nevertheless an excellent cauliflower cheese was found for me as it... More

stayed 2 nights and found the rooms clean and comfortable, had a shower and a bath and water hot! complimentary tea coffee biscuits etc. Pub has a conservatory where you can enjoy a drink and also a meal. keep off the locally brewed Blackmoor cider,,, its very strong and was £3 a pint when I was there.
