I went to a number of restaurants in the area, but this one charmed me with the fantastic personnel. Young people were so enthusiastic and welcoming! Cannot say which I enjoyed more - the food or the attitude of the waiters.

We had the menus option for Euro 18 each. We enjoyed lots of extras including cheese and wine and an amazing aubergine roll... friendly staff. Great value.

Al Battistero is opposite santuario san Michele just down a few steps. We were staying at hotel Michael virtually next door and collapsed into the restaurant after a long drive. The owner and his son Michele gave the four of us a wonderfully warm welcome...More

First time in Puglia e first time in Matteo's restaurant: everything was simply unforgettable and very tasty. Matteo suggested a combination of wine and local food (black orecchiette with caciocavallo and tomato, fava beans and chicory) that I really enjoyed. He speaks english and he's...More
