Once again my husband and I have had a lovely evening at The Wheatsheaf. On entering it was quite busy in the bar which is to be expected on a Friday evening, but we didn't have to wait long to be served and shown to our table. I have always found the staff here to be very helpful and courteous... More

Very average cod (guessing from frozen) and chips but the burgers were great. Would not go again in a hurry.

Yet another fantastic meal again. Its great to be back with old friends and enjoy their fabulous food. The meat here is the best in the area and the service is second to none.

Happened on this pub by chance due to very heavy traffic delaying our journey! Had two very enjoyable meals and certainly the 'special' burger was something to behold! Would recommend

Decided to try one of the many pubs in Croston. As always trying to park anywhere in Croston is hard work so expect to be driving around a bit before you find anywhere however remember the village was no built for cars. We sat outside at the front due it being a nice evening. Plenty of tables mostly full but... More

Once again, the Wheatsheaf didn't disappoint. The food was good and the service excellent! My sisiter in law thoroughly enjoyed her mushroom starter and my husband was very impressed with the crispy lamb and feta cheese starter. I avoided the leek and potato soup as I'd only, that day, made a big pan of it! My prawn started was delicious.... More

A fab meal this week for my son's birthday. All food was great quality. The spicy shrimp starter was especially tasty and the pork belly exceptional. All washed down with a top pint or two of Windermere Pale! Worth a visit and I'd book at the weekend as restaurant area gets full.

We was driving back to preston from southport and decided to drive back through croston. The wife looked on her phone for somewhere in croston that was dog friendly, the wheatsheaf looked good so we decided to try it. We ordered food which included a childs soup for £1. The soup was a good size and very tasty. Overall the... More
