Go here quite often for dinner, food is always tasty, small portions, but we never leave feeling hungry. Service is excellent, staff are friendly and pleasant. Looking forward to my next vist.

I'll cut straight to the point. The food was tasty but the portion sizes were so small I felt the pub was taking us for fools. We ordered a bottle of wine and they took so long to bring it out, that by the time...More

Booked in with friends. Great selection of Gin on arrival. All 4 of had fantastic meals. The carpaccio tuna starter was awesome. Beer duo was great (fantastic sauce); and the ginger desert was one of the best I've had. Service was attentive and efficient. Been...More

This is an attractive pub in a rural location. Decided to try it for dinner. Friendly welcome, nice table, and good service throughout. The problem we had, was that our meals were not good value for money. I had the fish & chips - small...More

First visit for a while, but has always been great in the past, friendly staff, dogs welcome, yummo food & drinks. However, if memory serves me well, this was my first Sunday lunch lunch there & it didn't disappoint. A warm welcome, very good quality...More

Don't be fooled by the pictures of the food on the pub's website. The mains portions are ridiculously small, grossly overpriced and could be mistaken for starters. We chose the Hermit of Redcoats for a celebratory meal but won't return. We left still hungry and...More

Firstly the plus points - nice location, good sized car park, very nice interior - warm and welcoming staff who were very very pleasant throughout the whole evening. Food was seriously overpriced for what was served. Portions were miniscule, bordering on ridiculous - I ordered...More

Taken by parents for our Birthdays. Lovely pub and setting and friendly attentive staff. Unfortunately the food portions wouldn't feed a flee! Over priced for portion sizes. Gob smacked when the food was served. Huge bill and went home hungry.

Not sure , best to ring as we saw no children there. It is a pub so maybe not ?
Hello, we visited here about nine months ago with friends, we had a very enjoyable evening and enjoyed the food. My partner and myself are considering revisiting soon but, looking at the website, it seems that the menu has changed very little. Can anyone confirm that the a la carte menu on the website is the one on offer now on offer at the pub. Thanks, Chris.

Hi my only complaint was the menu because there is very little choice for vegetarians. Looking at the menu from my memory it hasn't changed. I even asked if the chef would do a mushroom omelette for me but the answer was... More
