I first visited 2 weeks ago when there was no hot food on the menu but had homemade pork pie and a Mata Hari desert. The desert was particularly delicious served with warm toffee sauce and ice cream. It was difficult to chose the desert...More

We have been visiting Kitty's Tearoom for over 17 years. The standard of food is always top quality whether it be Sunday lunch or midweek. Today, as always, the lentil soup was delicious and the roast beef dinner was tender and tasty and we enjoyed...More

Called here while on holiday. Wonderful, old fashioned tea shop. Beautiful panelling, lace table cloths, silver tea pots and china. Very good scones and cakes. No credit cards accepted. Excellent service from friendly staff.

Called here whilst touring, it was very full, we had the last table for lunch. Surprised by the vast selection of tea's. A very good meal at reasonable prices.

Our first visit. First impression, the tearoom was spotlessly clean in every aspect and the young lady serving was most helpful . Good loose leaf tea and plenty of it with a supply of hot water. The food was excellent and did include good quality...More

A bit of a gem; a bit special. Excellent premises, only stayed for "tea and cake", but quality and service was tops, by an evidently totally dedicated team. The choice of teas is excellent, but very large pots, plus water, per customer!

Description
The history surrounding Kitty's has made it unique, being set in a Victorian house, built by a retired sea captain circa 1840. The Captain commisioned local carpenters to put in place the wonderful panelled ceiling, removed from a ship which was broken up in nearby Palnackie Harbour. The origional panneled ceiling and walls, still survive to this day and I'm sure you'll agree the workmanship was second to none. Kitty is privilaged to own and run this small family buisness in such beautiful surroundings. And looks forward to welcoming you. OPEN SEVEN DAYS A WEEK FROM EASTER WEEKEND TO BEGINING OF NOVEMBER.
