Very slow service and not even busy... Our food turned up cold in the middle and and was sent back. It came back fully nuked but had dried out as it had been over nuked. Would not go back very poor.

I stayed over at the Passage House hotel for just one night. My sat navigation had problems find the hotel but the sign helped direct me in. Although it is off the main road into Newton Abbott it is still fairly close to the dual carriageway to and from Torquay but road noise could be heard faintly at peak times.... More

Title pretty much sums it up. Plenty of seating, really friendly staff, good range of drinks, large portions of good food and good prices The only thing I found odd is how difficult it is to find menus. Eventually found a couple on one end of the bar, up to that point I thought it was carvers only with a... More

A sticky table with peeling varnish did not bode well for our meal here. Food was unappetising and I doubt we'll return.

A welcoming place to have dinner - good food and friendly staff. Great views across the river too if you are there during daylight hours

A very pleasant venue for a carvery or a la carte. I love sitting in the carvery section at the far end , so I can watch the river Teign , and in the afternoon and early evening you quite often catch sight of a few bunnies hopping along the edge and into the undergrowth along the river path. The... More

I've visited on numerous occasions for lunch and never been disappointed. It has pleasant views overlooking the river, great food, properly cooked and not microwaved, and excellent service at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

I've clearly led a rather sheltered life as last night I realized that I was eating my very first carvery. So with all the lovely-sounding dishes on offer here, I opted for a feast of meat. My first observation was that whether you order the medium or regular-sized carvery, the size of the plate remains the same. Surely the larger... More

Absolutely delightful staff, who coped with our fussiness admirably. The carvery was delicious, with a lovely nut roast for the veggie and gluten free gravy. The top part of the restaurant (and outside) wheelchair accessible. One step (fairly easily manoeuvred in a manual wheelchair) to access the rest of the restaurant.

The food was ok, but I'm not impressed with waitresses petting dogs and finding it amusing when customers allow their dogs to eat from the tables and sit on the chairs. Yes, I was in the area where dogs are allowed, I just didn't think they would be eating from the table! The table was merely cleared when the people... More
