We intended to take away an order of chips for a snack but decided to sit in for a lunch. What a great choice! A good menu and a specials board with a choice of Sunday dinner of roast beef or turkey. I... More

We jokingly say we are on a "Pilgrimage" to this cafe when we visit my sister-in-law near Carmarthen. They really do serve the best battered cod and chips and homemade tartar sauce I've had anywhere. They do have a wide menu of homemade pies and meat and fish dishes and children portions too but we always go for the cod.... More

Nothing better than chips by the sea except when bought from The Cabin. Rude man runs it, with strained atmosphere. Lady serving was nice but even jolly customers who came in became subdued by atmosphere. Standard of food was poor. Such a shame because I remember when it had been particularly good. Property inside and out badly in need of... More

This was meant to be the food highlight of our mini break, based on all the 5* reviews. Gut feeling prompted us to play it safe and just get chips for 4. Two of the portions had a lot of under cooked chips, and one of them included a bonus three free hairs. I was disappointed, as the chippie at... More

Do not be put off by the plastic table cloths, the Ferry Cabin offers excellent fresh fish (listed on the specials board), the home made meat and chicken dishes are also worth a try, venison casserole , steak and stilton pie have recently been on the menu with a selection of home made fruit pies and cakes for dessert.

We had cod and chips, and it was perfect. Then lemon meringue and a latte. The staff are fantastic and the batter on the cod was light and crispy. No frills just good wholesome food.

Thank tazabeth
