We arrived for lunch late (2.40) on a Friday afternoon. The place was empty but kitchen was still open so we were guided to a table and looked at the menu. Standard fare. Nothing exciting. Shock was only one beer on tap. And two largers....More

I am sorry your though our section of beverages on tap was small: We serve Kroneburg, Amstel Lager, a pale ale, bitter and cider . We do have a larger variety of bottles but we are a small family run pub and just don't have...More

The room was clean and pleasant. Staff couldn't have been more attentive. I would definitely return.

Personally for me, a pub where you can see red kites flying overhead whilst you eat is heaven! That's not for everyone of course, but the location of the Black Boys Inn is stunning anyway. The service we received wasn't the best, but the food...More

Overpriced hotel. We stayed 1 night, before we arrived we booked a room for 80 £, as we arrived we needed to pay 85 £. The website says food served until 21:30, we came at 19:55 and the guy at the bar said "no food...More

As a repeat customer, I feel somewhat qualified to write what could otherwise appear harsh of you. I've been here for five times over the last couple years, but on this last visit I was left somewhat cold. Booking for lunch, the eerily empty now...More

I was present when you arrived asking for a gin and tonic late Tuesday morning. Although you initially didn't specify for fever tree tonic, when it was noted we carried it on our menu you seemed to believe that being out of stock was catastrophic,...More

They need a new chef and rethink the whole business, or they will fail very soon, which would be sad! Steve Y

Went for lunch on a Friday - the place was empty. It used to be quite a busy restaurant - this should have warned us. A blackboard outside promised partridge with apple cider gravy. No - that was actually for the day before. We ordered...More

Dear Clivel, We are sorry you had a terrible dining experience and i remember your party that Friday afternoon when i explained that our home chips sometimes are cut thick and sadly a few sometimes don't get as crunchy as the other. We are now...More

The serving staff are lovely but sadly the food is not up to scratch, despite the price. Might be a nice spot for a drink but won't be eating there again.
