We were only in Malham for two nights and chose to eat here on our first evening, but after having such a great meal in a lovely old comfortable pub, we returned the following evening. Consistently good food, a little more than other pubs in the village but well worth it. Welcomes walkers, muddy boots and dogs

Our overall experience of this place was near perfect, from the efficient and friendly way we made the booking for an evening meal, to the afternoon tea in the pretty back yard, to the delicious food in the evening. Lovely.

Visited in search of a pukka cream tea after a long hike round Gordale scar, Malham tarn and Malham cove and enjoyed a high quality reasonably priced cream team. Scones were fresh - cream was clotted and the raspberry jam perfect. Tea was served with a shortbread biscuit - nice touch. Recommended.

A good array of beers and drinks complimented by really good, tasty food and good service. Prices are fairly average. It does get busy at the bar at certain times, i had... More

Lovely, comfy pub, with a warm friendly atmosphere. Our dinner was delicious which was simply, sausages and mash which was yummy++. Although the pub and restaurant were busy, we were well looked after by the friendly staff and didn't have to wait long for our meal.

We arrived with an entourage of seven -- two elderly parents, three other family members with a whole variety of dietary restrictions - and me and the missus! Our food all arrived in good time and together, brought by the most courteous and friendly staff you could wish to meet. The pie, risottos and the bangers all went down very... More

We ate here on a Saturday evening with a a group of fellow walkers. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was quick. The quality of the food was very good and the bar has a great selection of real ale. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area
