We were staying close by and looking for somewhere to eat around 9pm. Pleasant welcome in quiet restaurant-it was a September Thursday evening after all!! Service good and attentive. Lynne's paella was judged excellent. I had salad with goats cheese followed by superb veal filet. Cooked perfectly and tasty. Both from €20 menus. A nice white (penedes Mediterranean I think)... Spanish restaurants are famous for a very good quality/price ratio on their daily menus. In El Ratpenat the price was good but the food didn´t quite meet the standards. We had a salad rich in lettuce but little else, a grilled aubergine which was OK and a tasteless cazuela de fideos. Additionally, I have seen faster staff

We went yesterday with the family. If you are able to obtain a flyer you can start with the free sangria. You get a flyer either way after your visit. I had the eggs with spinach as a starter and the fish as main dish. Both were great. I finished with the cream catalana - one of the best in... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant after leaving the touristy town of Roses. We chose the menu Del Dia for 10€. We were waited on by three young adults who went out of their way to be helpful and make sure we were enjoying our meal. The food was plentiful and delicious. We each started with the mussels prepared two different... More

I've been to this place a multiple times. They have a great price/value offer with the menu de dia. The formula includes your whole dinner, Including your drink and an appetizer. Dishes are simple and taste great. I'll visit again without any doubt.

This restaurant looks interesting with its unique wall covered with mythical creatures. We were invited there for lunch by friends, I arrived early and waited fifteen minutes for a drink and was eventually told that the bar was not serving because the manager was out. When my wife and friends arrived we were shown to a table inside, we ordered... More

This family run restaurant, close to the soccer fields, has the most beautiful decor, as the walls and floors are fitted with Gaudi inspired art. The hosts are very welcoming and make you feel at home. The mixed fish grill was a bit too much for me and I did not like the mussels. But the grilled meats were really... More

Four of us went for lunch and had the 15.50 menu which included wine, water and bread. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend the food, atmosphere and the service was excellent.

We visited El Ratpenat with our 2 teenage children and enjoyed 2 lovely evenings, I'd say the best we had on both occasions. There is a great selction of food that suited us all, it was really well cooked and presented and very reasonabley priced. We equally enjoyed the wine list, lovely local wines. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming... More
