Visited with friends and it was sad to see the place so quiet. My memories of LB are of a busy place to dine with lots of atmosphere. I understand it has recently changed management so this has clearly contributed and have read a lot...of mixed reviews. It looks like the new team have some catching up to do (it’s now the Jazz House, not Left Bank and this should be rectified online). Others have commented on prices and I sort of agree, £9.95 for bruschetta starter and various mains on the expensive side would probably put me off if I had looked in advance. If you stick to the fixed menu and choose wisely then you can probably make it feel just about ok. 2 course was £17.95 and 3 course £22.95, but if you order outside of that then it will be costly. Dinner didn’t arrive all at the same time, however. The first 2 plates came together but the third plate arrived a fair while after the others and this was the case for starter and main, now considering they were not busy this needs to be sharpened up as twice we were sat waiting for plates to arrive before we could all start eating. We were all happy enough with the food but I did feel one pizza was over cooked and ridiculously over garnished with rocket to cover it up. The 2 waitresses were attentive and served the table well and this should be noted. One glass of Diet Coke was poor quality though and as a non drinker this really infuriates me as they are so overloaded with ice and charged heavily. But what option do you have if you don’t drink? Not many want to drink water all evening. This isn’t exclusive to this restaurant though. Only one visit mind, but I get the feeling from my experience and reading other reviews that the Jazz House needs to up their game if they want it to be successful like Left Bank always was, especially during these difficult times for the hospitality industry.More

Food was lovely and staff very friendly but it is no longer Left Bank as advertised on Facebook. Under new management with new menu and theme. Still a lovely place to go, but if you are expecting Left Bank prices and staff unfortunately they have...gone. Good luck Jazz House 👍🏻 😊More

Obviously under new management. Just not the same atmosphere and that personal feel. Menus have changed and very expensive, food was ok but not worth the £150 bill for basically four main courses and couple of drinks...was so shocked will then bill came! Maybe they...are finding their feet after re-opening....but defo wasn't for me at that price. Such a shame, was always our go to place.More

I used to go here regularly a few years when it was owned by 2 Portuguese brothers who couldn't do enough for you !! Menu was diverse, food wasn't massive sizes but was most definitely enough and at good value. Now unfortunately it is not...what is was! The food is your bog standard stuff. And a lot more expensive for what you've paid for. My partner ordered fish and it was saturated in oil. My lamb shank was ok. I left a constructive review on Google and then get called a liar by the owner with the pricing. Instead of asking to contact me to sort things, I get attacked by being accused of lying ? You're running a restaurant fgs! Do you not know how to talk to people ? If you want mediocre expensive grub then knock yourself out.More

Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the best restaurants I've visited in Ormskirk.

We ordered a delivery through Uber Eats. 1 hour and 30 minutes later the food arrived. We were told to ring back to get some money back, when we did they were shouting at us and hung up on us. Also the garlic bread had...hardly any garlic on it and the chips were soggy. Definitely won’t be ordering or visiting again. Absolutely shocking.More

We ordered 3 Sunday roasts by phone. 2 slices of meat on each meal, not very large. But tasty, rest of meal very good. On website it says, Sunday roasts from £6.95. However doesn't say what you get for that price. Got veg. Roast potatoes,with...Yorkshire puddings. No mash. This came to a whopping £52 for 3 main meals. Nothing else. As it was for a special occasion, I was too embarrassed to cancel my order on the phone. They need to be more transparent with prices on website. Also think about what they are changing. Felt ripped off. Won't be using them again unless they bring down their prices and properly sort out their on line site. So people know what they are getting for their money. Sorry but will now go elsewhere.More

Arrived more or less on time. My husbands meal of fish and chips was warm. The fish batter was soggy and the chips were frozen chips. I had a pizza which was barely warm and the base was a little tough to eat. Disappointed. Will...not use again.More
