Very good Japanese cooking with a few tourists. Tradional Japanese music by the owner himself. For our group of Dutch visitors he played our national anthem, Wilhelmus on his Japanese guitar. Try it!

Please note this restaurant is called "Waentei-Kikko". A perfect evening. Wonderful owners, authentic Japanese atmosphere, delicious food, and a shamiesen performance by the owner! He even played the Star-Spangled Banner for us. You will love your visit here!

Food, service, ambient, and performance. All in one. Not too far away from Sensoji temple in Asakusa, lies a quiet little restaurant, dimly lit. We read about this restaurant online and decided to give it a try. Remember to book beforehand and you will get...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
